Travelled from Chennai to Kolkata by air. Want to wait for around 4 hours to take my train to Malda from this Howrah railway station. I found A/C waiting hall inside. It is cheaper (Rs.10 per hour for one person). Stay can be extended by any number of hours. You will be asked to provide PNR number to print your receipt. This has bathing facility (hot water & normal water) and lavatory inside. I have added some photos here with.

Travel so many places but Howrah Railway station one of the better than best. Great connect. Everything systematic, ATM, Shop, Sweet, Food plaza you can find everything

Howrah railway station is the largest railway station of India with over 23 platforms. It is also one of the most crowdest railway stations of the world. Located on the Howrah city. It serves the City of Kolkata and Howrah for catching trains. One can find all kinds of trains that runs across the country from Howrah railway station.

Had a bit of haggling to do before our group were taken to the hotel in a classic Ambassador yellow and black taxi. A nice drive throught the busy streets from the hotel.

In Howrah their are 20+ station and the bus stand is just outside the railway station mind de station you will find varities of food which is offered by IRCTC,Mio Amore

This railway station is the gateway to Kolkata and nothing else. It is simple a railway statue with heavy crowd always. Very old railway station. Many food options inside the railway station. Please be aware of pick pockets. Railway station is easily reachable with local transport. buts stand location just besides of station. It is the one of the major railway station of India Railway.

Perhaps the very old and only station where you can take your car up to the platform and receive see off any one from the close of train.. heritage and very beautiful.. must visit a place for memories

How I can obtain a car parking a ticket in Howrah railway station? After entering into station or I have to book it earlier?

Is it possible to go out of howrah station by 4AM. I mean gates will be open or closed during that period.

Does howrah station have lift or elevator for older people to go from one platform to another?
Also does Sealdah also have lift or elevator for older people to go from one platform to another?

No idea about sealdah. All the platforms at Terminal one and two is having excess with wheel char. Older people can have this facility to enter and exit or change the platform. For exit to terminal there are no bridged as excess is within the ground floor only.
