“Great experience!!”

停完车,并且付了一个小的门票, 100米步行带我们进入洞穴入口。我们的导游,一个子体的农民发现的洞穴,信息量很大而且说得很好,色调和速度意味着每个人包括孩子们都非常了解酒店的历史。还有一个陡峭的门口的台阶,但是这些事情之后将会变得容易。非常愉快的经历。唯一的缺点就是这里竟然没有足够的路标的路上。

整个行程大概要花40分钟带你进了山洞的1公里。穿舒服的鞋子,还有90很陡的阶梯走在路上/在洞穴外。穿着一个薄夹克或跳线也将会是一个好主意。这是。 15为自己和2个孩子。导游很好而且非常有见地的历史知识的洞穴和能够回答的问题问她。里面还是很令人叹服chambers和巨大的列。那里没有咖啡厅或礼品店等。这是一个很棒的旅行和强烈推荐。

Brilliant and informative tour and our tour guide on new years eve was excellent! The caves themselves far exceeded my expectations. I would recommend to anyone passing through to stop and do this tour.

Terrific tour guide Kate made the day!

Visited Mitchelstown Cave this afternoon. Wow, what an experience – we just weren’t expecting such fabulous sights down in the cave. Our guide Kate (we called her Kate from the Cave!) was so informative and made the whole thing so interesting and fascinating. She gave everyone plenty of time to look around, take photos, ask questions etc. This really is a sight to behold, a great educational experience for old and young alike. Unfortunately, it is not suitable for anybody with mobility issues, as the only way to get in and out of the cave is by using several very steep, and sometimes wet, steps. It is a photographer’s paradise too. I intend bringing my 8 year old grandson there at some stage, he would love it. It is very good value at €10 per adult, €5 for children (up to 14 years old), and €24 for two adults and up to two children (up to 14 years old). Excellent value, an educational trip and a journey back in time. There are picnic benches outside which can be used for a picnic at a warmer time of year, and make a day of it all. We highly recommend this attraction.

Well worth a visit

Well worth a visit if you are looking for a worthwhile day trip visit the caves not overly commercialised, great tour guide really worth seeing

Really enjoyed the experience. The caves are fascinating and amazing pillar formation. Kids really enjoyed it. Highly recommend, well run and very informative tour guides.

Great experience, good value

Kids and I loved this visit to Mitchelstown Cave. There are some spectacular formations down there, many thousands of years old. The swan (some people see a dragon) is several hundred thousand years old.
Amy was a very good guide and explained the history of the cave very well. The largest cavern is spectacular and to test the acoustics, we all sang Happy Birthday to one of the visitors. There are concerts down there sometimes, I imagine the sound is great. I’d recommend this to anyone. Not suitable for wheelchair users and I suggest those with limited mobility should check suitability first as the entrance is via a steep set of steps which spiral at a couple of points and there’s a little bending required on the way down these steps.

A really impressive cave tour.

A really impressive and unexpected cave system in the area. I found out about this cave through a local brochure and was very impressed. A great guide gave us the complete tour.

Impressive Stalactites & Stalagmites

I liaised with John a few weeks before our trip from South Africa & each time the response was quick & helpful. The day before our visit I checked in with John again & he booked our visit. When we arrived the lady at the ticket office was aware of our booked & promptly assisted us.

We had visited the Doolin caves a few days earlier & must say we preferred the Mitchelstown caves , it was bigger , more chambers & had wonderful stalactites & stalagmites. They even host concerts in some of the chambers.

There are a few stairs down into the cave which get wet from the water that runs into the cave but nothing to hectic. It is fairly wide open so no fear of narrow tunnels & certainly not strenuous at all.

Our guide , can't remember the ladies name , except that it was Jack's mom (who assisted us in the ticket office) , she was well informed & made the whole experience fun & interesting .

There are plenty of photo opportunities & our safety was taken care of . The surroundings outside are also very beautiful & many photo opportunities of mountains & flowers.

Cost was 10 euros per person , tour lasts about an hour & worth it

Don’t miss these fabulous caves!

Brilliant experience in fabulous caves. Our guide Amy, was informative, friendly and helpful and we would really recommend the experience. In addition, the family who own and run this have made a lovely car park opposite, edged with colourful shrubs and have created a small, partially enclosed grassy picnic area with tables beside the parking. The roads to the venue are clearly signposted too. Don’t miss this experience!!

The whole experience in the caves is incredible. Our tour guide, Amy, was really well informed with local knowledge intertwined with broad scope and in depth understanding of the caves, how they were formed over tens of millions of years and the lifeforms (albeit small and limited) which live in the depths of the caves.

An incredible experience and well worth a visit.
