If you pass through Santarcangelo you cannot miss the Stamperia Marchi. A historic institution, which has been handed down for generations. During your visit you will breathe in the flavor of centuries, you will see objects and techniques that you can only find here. They jealously and rightly guard their secrets.
The only point I would like to make is to reduce the number of people per single visit. Since it is a very small space, many people risk not seeing and correctly appreciating Mr.'s explanation. Alfonso.

Upon leaving the button museum, we were advised to visit this structure; once we entered, at first it seemed like just a shop displaying various household items, with a prevalence of printed fabrics, cute and elegant, but nothing more.
However, when we were kindly accompanied to the back, we were able to admire the enormous 17th century mangle, which is still used to iron fabrics, using the only energy provided by human legs!!
Truly spectacular: don't leave Santarcangelo without seeing it.

Proprio di fianco all'Ente del Turismo abbiamo trovato questa antica bottega, con il suo mangano.
peccato non aver prenotato una visita, ma la signora all'interno e' stata molto gentile e ci ha spiegato, brevemente, il suo funzionamento.
Peccato che il negozio fosse chiuso di pomeriggio, al ritorno del nostro giro.

Non è la prima volta che visitiamo L’antica stamperia Marchi ,ogni volta e una sorpresa.Prodotti curati e stampati ancora con arti antiche .Il negozio e molto bello e curato .si può visitare l’antico mangano ed è incredibile ascoltare la sue storia 👍🏻assolutamente da vedere .

Se visitate Sant'Arcangelo non potete tralasciare di visitare questa antica stamperia di tessuti che, oltre ad essere un negozio di pregiati manufatti tessili (asciugamani, canovacci, tovaglie, cuscini, borse, e via dicendo) é un antico laboratorio artigiano ed un vero e proprio museo, che racconta oltre 300 anni di storia di lavoro artistico, svolto con maestria, con prodotti di grande qualità e completqmentemade in Italy. Nel retro si ammira un antico mangano del XVII secolo, azionato dall'uomo e che muove una pietra di 55 quintali che 'stira' i tessuti. Questi poi vengono portati in laboratorio per essere stampati utilizzando 4 colori base, tra cui il famoso 'ruggine'. La stampa avviene del tutto manualmente con l'utilizzo di stampi di legno che vengono poggiati con precisione battuti con una sorta di martelletto sul tessuto da lavorare. Nel laboratorio ci sono infiniti stampi con vari disegni edi alcuni hanno la stessa epoca del mangano. I tessuti poi vengono fatti asciugare e trattati in modo che si mantengano inalterati nel tempo. Sembra veramente di tornare indietro nella storia ed in questo ambiente così antico si sente una grande passione per questo lavoro tramandato di generazione in generazione. Insomma una visita unica e istruttiva che vale veramente la pena di fare.

Un vero salto indietro nel tempo !
Utilizzo di stampi in legno intagliati a mano ed utilizzo di colori con tecniche antiche seicentesche.
La lavorazione dei tessuti antichi, avviene attraverso il Mangano risalente al 1633.
Da visitare assolutamente !
Si trova affianco all'ufficio di informazioni turistiche.
Il resto una sorpresa da scoprire sul posto ....

Proprio di fianco all'Ufficio del Turismo di Sant'Arcangelo ecco questa affascinante bottega artigiana, un'antica stamperia di tessuti, attiva dal 1633.
E al suo interno (si puo' visitare liberamente) ha ancora il più antico mangano (macchina per stirare i tessuti) al mondo risalente proprio a quella data e tuttora in funzione.
Sicuramente da un lato "acchiappa turisti" ( ma non è che poi ce ne siano cosi' tanti di turisti a Sant'Arcangelo), ma - proprio per il fascino della bottega e dei loro prodotti - un acquisto ci scappa sempre, pur se a prezzi non certamente economici ( giustificati ovviamente dalla lavorazione)

Bottega artigiana trovata per caso durante la nostra visita a Santarcangelo di Romagna. Purtroppo non abbiamo prenotato una visita guidata del laboratorio, cosa che consiglio e che farò sicuramente se dovessi ritornare in questo bel borgo. Naturalmente non poteva mancare un acquisto, non propriamente economico, ma assolutamente giustificato per tutto il lavoro che è dietro ogni oggetto.
