Could not enter
Echo Valley Trails is closed until further notice. A. Tornado went through Dwight last week and the trails were destroyed by fallen trees. We enjoyed many walks there and hope it can be reopened soon.

An okay woodland walk

Perhaps just because we walked as opposed to mountain biked, but we are passed the age for tackling these trails with bikes. Near the end of the easy loop, there currently is a large tree blocking the path. I bushwhacked around it, my friend sat and rotated her way over it, I think she caught her pants.

We picked the wrong time of year to visit, it was wet and muddy to say the least. If I'm in the area again in the summer, I would definitely visit again. Aside from the stairs, the trails are good for mountain biking.

Highly Recommend!

We see the trail sign every time we drive from Huntsville to Algonquin. We finally decided to stop in and take in the trails. I would highly recommend this! They have a parking lot available to park in, and two maps on either side of the lot directing you on the trails. The trails themselves are well marked and tell you about the difficulty of the side trails off of the main trail. I liked that the trails weren't too groomed or too wide, very much felt that you were in the middle of nowhere in the forest! But you always could see the trail to know where it was and you could tell the trail was well taken care of. We didn't see anyone on the trail or in the parking lot when we were there, which was nice! No one was there to take money, but there was a box for a donation and the trail sign recommended $2.

A hidden gem!
2015年10月 • 家庭
Echo Valley Nature & Bike Trails are a hidden gem in Dwight! I heard about the trail system from a friend... apparently it was a bit difficult to find the trail head initially (I see from the review below), but a trails crew must have been out since then to do some clearing and put up some signage because my family and I had no trouble finding the entrance. There are large signs with a trail map in the parking lot which were very helpful, and there was a QR code to bring up a nature guide on your mobile device. While I was loading the guide on my phone, my husband and kids headed over to the new pump track near the trail head to play around on the looping hills and berms.

This trail system is a great addition to the community of Dwight! Very affordable outdoor family fun as the cost is by donation only. (There's a donation box on site.) Highly recommend that you check it out, my husband and I are going to come back in the winter with our snowshoes for a nature walk!

There is no trail to be found....

As you enter into this community, you will see a large parking lot on the left as well as the sign with the details of the trail. Not once has there been any other cars in the parking lot when I visited. The trail map looks amazing. Was looking forward to riding the trails however I was never able to find an entrance to the trail.

I contacted the TWP Lake of Bays via Twitter and they state the trail does exist and they will be adding signage to make the trail easier to find. I stopped by the trail earlier this month and there was still no signage or trail to be seen/found.

It would be awesome if this trail does exist. Amazing area. Hopefully something is done to make an entrance to the trail.... if there is a trail.
