Beautiful beach but why do dog owners have to pick up their poos but horses can drop theirs right along beach I don't have a problem with horses on the beach but i do when i am swi ming there and step in it

Visited Rainbow Beach during the holidays and went for a late swim. Life savers had gone but the fun continued. A popular cool down spot.

Located at Bonny Hills, Rainbow Beach is a great stretch of beach with a patrolled beach in season & home to Wauchope-Bonny Hills Surf Club. Have been visiting here for decades as a mate lives up on the hill overlooking the sea. There is a good surf break to the south at the point but the min beach area is good for kids plus plenty of space to spread out plus the reserve at the back of the beach has good play equipment & facilities, a great spot to visit & enjoy.

We visited rainbow beah and found clean facilities. The beach was great although only patrolled on weekends. The is a bistro attached to the surf club which offers great food and wonderful views of the ocean. A visit to rainbow beach is a must if in the area.

This park has been refurbished and has a great kids playgound, extensive grassed areas BBQ facilities and toilets. A great venue for a group picnic right on Rainbow Beach.

A better decription of the location would be Bonny Hills rather than North Haven. There is a patrolled beach but the main attraction for families is also the playground and the car
park that spreads onto the grassed area during busy periods.

I camped at Rainbow Beach 8 years ago and was impressed by the facilities and cleanliness of the public areas. If I visit again I will stay at the Big4 campground - we walked on the public boardwalk along the foreshore right in front of the campers kitchen which was large and spacious with a view across the ocean. Public facilities at the patrolled beach include tables and chairs, barbecues and playground. Well kept lawns behind the surf beach.

This was a great little play area for all ages. My boys had so much fun and did not want to leave. Its also very close to the beach so best of both worlds.
