It's not too bad. It was relaxing because of the cooling weather and the hot bath makes it better. 6 baths in total including the cold bath. Only three are worth soaking as they are at least 41 to 43 degrees celsius. The other two is more of tap water temperature, save for some parts with jets. There is steam room that is really hot and can't stay there for too long and a dry sauna. Facilities are definitely not as well-maintained but still functional. I do see some people spitting at the sides when showering. There is a room for massage too at reasonable rates (though I did not use). I went on a weekday which has crowd (mostly middle-aged to older folks) and it was fairly crowded though I can't imagine how cramped it will be like on weekends given the limited capacity.
Cost is $250 NT but you need to bring your own towel to dry yourself after shower and I find it ridiculous that they don't even have a water fountain or dispenser for hydration. You have to buy water from the counter. Bringing your own water bottle is okay but not providing a water dispenser is unreasonable. Suggestion is to bring a big water bottle in before coming.
The surroundings outside the building is breath-taking. Accessibility wise, possible to take public transport by train (Shipai) followed by bus (few stops) followed by 10 mins of walk downhill. But easier to just take taxi via uber or from taxi stand from the train station. Will still recommend given the surroundings of the place.

A 5-star hot spring when all the facilities are working. Unfortunately, half the time I go, a couple pools are closed for cleaning or repairs. Although there are three medium-sized pools of varying hot temperatures, the two larger pools are kept cold with regular tap water half the year. It gets CROWDED on Fri/Sat nights, and although the mostly gay crowd is well behaved, there's usually one or two trolls "on the hunt" after 7pm who create uncomfortable situations for many. This place seems to be going downhill due to frequent pool closures and lack of actual hot spring water in the largest pools. This review is for Emperor Spa #1 (men). Number 2 and 3 are next door -- 2 is for women, 3 is a smaller facility for men.

I've been here many times and every time it's much the same. Shouting, spitting, traditional taxi-style Chinese music piped through broken speakers, usually crowded, not particularly clean. If it is peace and relaxation you seek, bring ear plugs or better yet, find another hot spring nearby. Too bad, because this one has it all - sauna, steam etc. No class, inconsiderate atmosphere.

I have been here every time I’m visit Taipei. However this visit is very impressive since I have lost my wallet and the staff (small guy with glasses) is super helpful even when it seems that he got complaints from his supervisor because the check-in counter is super busy and yet he keeps on helping me coordinating with police to find my wallet. Really appreciate this super service mind.
Will definitely come back again.

This springs is SO relaxing. 5 pools, different temperatures. steam and sauna room both. Yes all men naked.....if you are modest just don't go. Many gay guys too but cannot play in public. will go again today !

Nice place that also offer nice food there as a package deal. The place is generally clean. I found it has a massage center there so take the hot spring then massage next for good relaxation.

I booked a private room for 10 people that day. There was nylon rope in the crab porridge, and the gentian stone was very fishy. The environment in the private room was also very bad... I won't go there again... and the response was not very detailed~ I also heard from their waiter. It was of no use. I even asked the lady at the counter when I checked out, but no one seemed to take it seriously. I won’t go to the next dinner party... The environment is really bad~

Very nice hot springs. Different.pools with different water temperature. Steam room and sauna. For the ones who.care you need to be fully naked.

Various types of spas - The Emperor has 3 spa’s and Spa number 1 is men only so if you go here expect to go complete naked. The spa’s also have sauna and steam room. I didn’t particularly like the smell but i understand that this is natural sulphur smell from the underground thermal spa
