The park is adjacent to the Kenting National Park Recreation area. Entry is free and there are good maps at each of the multiple entry points. Compared to the Forest Recreation Area, the walk is a little more expansive, there is much less forest cover and in parts the terrain a little steeper although a majority of the walk is on concrete blocks. It also follows a defined route and is broadly a loop. The walk takes you through two gorges that do require a little scrambling and squeezing through gaps. The other main attraction is the coral rock cliffs which accompany you for much of the walk. There are a couple of good observation points with great views. The loop takes around 2 hours.
We did not see any public transport options in the area. We took a cab from Kenting Arch to the Kenting Park Recreation area entrance, completed a loop walk there then walked to the nearest entry point in Sheding Park completing our exploration here before walking back towards Sail Rock.

Nice place, definitely worth a visit. Bring sufficient water as hot and humid in summer time. Good views over the area….

離開墾丁國家森林遊樂區，往上走一點就到了社頂自然公園。一入眼簾是一片大草原，原以為只有這樣，沒想到看了指示牌，原來裡面還有很長的步道。比起墾丁國家森林遊樂區，這邊的步道更天然，甚至還有大小狹谷，需要手腳併用，小朋友很開心。公園中有兩個亭，我們上了其中一個，在上面基本看可以看到整個臺灣最南邊了，視野非常好，一定要來看一下。如果有時間的話，裡面還有泥土路，說可能可以看到梅花鹿，不過，路有點長，我們這次就沒走了。

het park ligt op ongeveer 5 km vanaf de toegangsboog bij Kenting dorp. Er rijdt geen openbaar vervoer. Je kan een scooter huren of hier per taxi komen. Er zijn verschillende wandelingen, die kunnen gecombineerd worden. Overal staan wegwijzers, de oude, die worden verwijderd zijn OK, de nieuwe sturen je dikwijls de verkeerde richting uit. Ook de afstanden zijn niet correct. Gebruik de kaart welke bij de toegang op een bord te zien is. De paden zijn niet altijd perfect, soms is het wat over rotsen stappen, maar moeilijk is het zeker niet. Dit zijn geen hiking paden, het is een wandelgebied, met mooie natuur, uitkijkplatforms en veel vlinders, heel kleurrijk. Zeker voor een viertal uur

This is a lovely park, with wildlife! Saw deer in the meadow when I arrived and monkeys the next day! There are fireflies and glowing mushrooms if you like to see sometihng different!
The tour guides are all volunteer who are local elderly residence from different background- so don't expect a professional scientist or professional tour guide but a local people who carrys local culture.

Actually we skipped the national park and visited only Sheding. I hired a scooter in Kenting and was driving each morning to the reserve. It's the best time as there are almost no people there, so it's easier to spot wildlife - especially deers. Local birdwatchers organize raptores counting (we were in October) and the results are presented on one of the towers. During few days we spotted deers, monkeys, lizards, some birds including eagles and butterflies.
The paths are rather easy, the towers provide panoramic views over the reserve toward the sea. Entry is free of charge.

社頂公園位於墾丁森林遊樂區旁，裡面有許多豐富的自然生態值得一覽，包含難得一見的螢光蕈，只有在夏季大雨過後才看得到，會在夜晚發光，非常漂亮。每年九月時社頂公園內的凌霄亭也是著名的賞鷹景點，可以看見赤腹鷹過境出海的壯觀場面。偶爾，在社頂公園內還能看見野生的梅花鹿呢！目前社頂公園主要由社頂部落發展協會維護，他們不僅提供遊客各種的導覽行程，也積極地從事棲地營造，像是黃裳鳳蝶、條背螢……等等，致力維護社頂的生態多樣性，是台灣社區營造的成功範例之一。
