位在三峽老街旁的三峽長福巖，建立於清乾隆年間，供奉從福建泉州安溪清水巖迎來的清水祖師，也因此俗稱三峽祖師廟。台灣光復後，由藝術家李梅樹教授主持帶領團隊修建，幾乎看得到的地方都有精心製作的木雕石雕與銅雕，讓這座廟顯現富麗堂皇且不失莊嚴的氣氛，可說是台灣廟宇建築藝術的殿堂。來此除了祈求平安外，也可細細欣賞廟內宛如藝術作品的各式雕刻。

My hobby is photography, so I was there from before 11am until 6:30pm.
Like Indian temples, the temple is full of carvings everywhere, which is a sight to behold.
It is very shiny and completely different from Japanese shrines and temples, but since it is an active shrine, there is no vulgarity at all. There are always a few believers praying with incense sticks in their hands. However, unlike the "hot" shrines in Taipei, such as Longshan Temple, it has a quiet and solemn atmosphere, which is nice.
During my stay, several groups of elementary school children came. They were on a social studies field trip, I guess. It was good to know that the local people treasure it as a cultural asset.
I got there by bus from Yongning MRT, and the travel time was not a problem at all.

This temple is an architectural masterpiece, but it has taken many years of patient work to restore it to its former glory. . The temple combines elements of Sung and Tang dynasty architecture. The temple honours the memory of Chen Chao-ying, a deified Tang dynasty patriot who fought against the Mongol conquerors of China more than 600 years ago. The temple is a monument to traditional Chinese craftsmanship.

三峽老街入口往左走一下就會到三峽祖師廟，廟前方還有座預計2024將打造為人行景觀橋的長福橋。與艋舺（萬華）祖師廟、淡水祖師廟合稱台北地區三大祖師廟。

位於三峽街區中心的三峽祖師廟是安溪移民的信仰中心，草創於乾隆三十四年(西元1769年)，民國三十六年祖師廟因年久而斑駁失修，乃推舉李梅樹教授為重建工程的美術設計及工程指導，融合不同流派的匠師與當代藝術家作品風格，因而贏得「民間藝術殿堂」、「東方藝術殿堂」的美譽。祖師廟至今仍然香火鼎盛，供奉的主神是清水祖師，是福建安溪的守護神。祖師爺的生平事蹟有多種說法，最為人知的為清水祖師本名陳昭應，福建省人，幼年即出家，因為生前深受鄉民擁戴，故死後建塔奉祀。清水祖師是扶宋抗元的民族英雄，明太祖師後來追封他為「護國公」，因此安溪人都尊稱他為祖師公。
