It’s a pedestrian street that everyone in the falls will have to walk through to take the train to the falls. Two sides of the road are packed with deposits, food, and restaurants, and there’s an ancient tribal museum here.

You can eat aboriginal mountain delicacies in Wulai Old Street.
If you don’t have luggage and want to take a day trip, you can take bus 849, which takes about 40 minutes.
Since I was carrying two large luggages, taking a taxi cost TWD 1,200.
We went directly to Wulai Lvchen Hot Spring B&B where we stayed.
We started walking from the newly built bridge on Wulai Old Street, and the first thing we had was "Private Kitchen Almond Tea".
This shop specializes in almond tea and almond tofu, and the blue-lit sink is very eye-catching (laughs)
I bought three boxes of almond tofu (TWD 110) and they will be served with sesame sauce.
It is recommended to take a sip after opening. The almond flavor is very fragrant and not overly artificial.
Add a smooth and rich sesame sauce to make it more layered.
Next to the almond tea shop is "Millet Mochi", which is also what netizens say is a must-eat.
I bought a box of 12 millet mochi (TWD 120) with four flavors.
The handmade mochi is very delicious to eat. It contains taro, sesame, red beans and peanuts, and the outer layers are all different.
The taro puree is very fragrant, and coupled with the shredded coconut on the outside of the mochi, it's not too sweet.
The sesame and peanuts are both very fragrant, but the red bean filling is a little more ordinary.
I also bought freshly fried hot spring preserved eggs (TWD 70/2 pieces) at "Lai Lai Cake Shop"
It's fried very crispy, and the preserved eggs won't have a strange taste when eaten. In addition, coriander, chopped green onion and bonito flakes will be added.
If you think the original flavor is a bit boring, you can choose Thai sauce. Personally, I think it tastes better with sauce.
In addition to food, there are also some unique shops - "Wulai Ganzai Store".
They will sell a lot of nostalgic souvenirs, such as pumps, candies, biscuits, toys, etc.
If you want to learn about the Atayal people who lived in Wulai in the past, there is the "Wulai Atayal Museum".
The museum displays the historical origins, living environment, traditional customs, festivals and festivals of the Atayal people and other indigenous culture.
Walking to the other end of Wulai Old Street, there is the Wulai Bridge. After crossing the bridge, continue walking and you will reach the Wulai Suspension Bridge.
The suspension bridge spans the Nanshi River, and you can enjoy the riverside scenery along the way.
Please note that this suspension bridge is restricted to a maximum of 20 people at a time.
After walking through the Wulai Suspension Bridge, the last stop will be the Wulai Fud Palace.
It should be noted that the business hours of Wulai Old Street shops are from about 10 am to 5 pm, and they are basically closed at night.

There are about 100 meters of shops lined up, most of which are restaurants and many of which sell souvenirs, so I recommend taking a leisurely stroll and looking at each one. Also, Wulai is a hot spring town, so there are places where you can enjoy a day trip bath.

It's an almost 2 hr ride on public transport, having to change bus in between to get there. So instead of paying NT60 on public transport, I decided to be indulgent and took an Uber instead (NT905) which got me there in 50 mins.
Started the day at Wulai Old Street I was too early and even at almost 10am, most shops are not opened yet, so I strolled along the street to the other end where the Blue Bridge is and here is where you find the public toilet (not bad, decently clean) and the stairs to the Log Cart (台车) station.
Went into a mama shop, selling old school stuff such as toys (including those mini throw-pop-sparklers) and sweets, souvenirs etc. Got some yummy red Guava and their famous Black Pork 马告 (a local spice) grilled sausage.
There are many onsen options here but the weather was just too hot so I left with trying.
