You will find Totoro and other familiar characters here for photography and lots of merchandises. The price is not too low though, but at least they are originals. In fact some of the items are collectables which sell crazy on online platforms.
Even if you are not here to spend a lot of money, you can find some simple stationary and take a few photos with the magic cat bus.

This store was located in the basement of the ATT4Fun shopping mall. The kids enjoyed taking photos with Totoro and other Ghibli characters. There was lots of merchandise to buy and one of the largest collection I have seen of Totoro to date (not having gone to the stores in Japan). Prices in NTD are just slightly more than the marked prices in Yen.

I came to Taiwan from the United States. In the U.S., my family and I are devoted fans of the movies of Studio Ghibli, particularly the movies by master director Hayao Miyazaki. However, it is difficult to get merchandise related to these movies outside of comic book and Japanese import shops. So I was hoping to find items on a trip to Taipei.
Donguri Republic is in the B1 level of the ATT4FUN shopping mall in the busy XinYi district between Taipei 101 and the Taipei City Hall Bus Station. I think children who love the MIyazaki movies will be delighted by the front entryway, It has life-size statues of Totoro and a nekkobus that you can pose with for pictures, and a mock tree wit a sleeping Totoro inside.
The merchandise include a dizzying range of official Studio Ghibli merchandise, which include DVD's, Blu-Ray/DVD sets, comic book adaptations of the movies, books with art from the movies, finger puppets, Russian doll-type sets of figurines from Totoro and Spirited Away, Totoro rubber stamps, the official (not knock-off) No-face piggy bank, plush dolls, statues, and figurines of all sizes, girl's dresses, and a wide range of other items. Some of them are available in the U.S., but many aren't.
The staff were extremely attentive and friendly. Their Chinese is admittedly better than their English, but they did their best to help with my eccentric requests. And if you spend more than NT$2000 (about $67 US, depending on exchange rates), you can file paperwork to get the refund of your VAT (about 5% of the purchase money) in cash without having to file the paperwork in the airport.
For fans of Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli, this store is an essential visit!

I went to HK’s outlet before & this one at taipei seems to be the same however bigger & have more choices. Prices is almost the same with the one at HK if not mistaken. You may option to go there & see the big totoro in a room (this one I didn’t see it in HK before). It has a space nearby totoro that allows parents & kids to sit & do some reading too. Good place for totoro’s fans!! Staff were helpful too.
