I love this park, it is a neighborhood park just off the last stop of the red subway line. somebody takes walk, somebody does yoga, somebody sleeps - just enjoy and relax. And if you want start on 1 of the trails and have brilliant views of Taipei.

A nice 1-2 hours trip up a hill at the heart of the city (Xinyi District). If you have some time early morning or late afternoon, do consider making a short trip up Xiangshan to get a nice aerial view of downtown Taipei. The climb can be steep at certain stretches and has a fair number of stairs so you need to be moderately fit to make the ascend. There are different routes and branched foot paths that you could consider to explore the area. If you’re staying at one of the hotels in Xinyi, trade a session at the gym for this outdoor activity - it will be worth it!

Le parc Xiangshan est un bel endroit situé à Taipei, à Taiwan. C'est un parc très populaire parmi les touristes et les locaux, car il offre une vue imprenable sur la ville de Taipei. Les visiteurs peuvent profiter de promenades dans les allées ombragées du parc, faire de la randonnée dans les collines verdoyantes ou se détendre près des étangs paisibles.

Xiangshan Park is a good place to start your trek the along Elephant Mountain trail. The trail is quite steep, but not too difficult. You get a great view of Taipei 101 and over the city from the trail. Best place to leave the MRT Red Line is Xiangshan Station. Take something to drink, and also a snack. This is a popular hike with younger people. By the way, "Xiangshan" means "Elephant Mountain" in English.

Xiang Shan is the jumping off point for the Xiangshan Trail, known in English as Elephant Mountain. The Xiangshan Trail is a favorite trek for energetic hikers. The park is very pleasant, it's not far from the Red Line MRT station. You get a good view of Taipei 101 from the trail. By the way, be sure to take something to drink and a snack. Try to avoid the hottest time of the day.

Located just outside the MRT station, the park is quite popular with local families. There are benches for you to sit and relax. It was a relief to rest on one of the benches after our tiring hike up Xiangshan. This park is well maintained and there are clean toilets too.

Recommend to wear suitable clothes and hiking shoes for hiking.
Best time is around 4pm for start hiking.
Don't forget to bring drinking water.
Easy access from Xiangshan station.
Entry fee is free.
