The mountains and forests have clear scenery, the autumn water reflects the bright colors, the ginkgo branches are empty, and the travelers walk on the quiet paths~
It was a warm winter in November, similar to autumn, and it was a sunny holiday. I rented a motorcycle to Shanlin Creek in Nantou, parked next to the Tudigong Temple at the ticket gate, and walked along the nearby trail to see the leaves turn red in the forest. Unexpectedly, the trails extend in all directions, and the motorcycle stopped moving. Just walk around until the sun goes down!
Follow the trail to "Ishiiji" with a pothole landscape, cross the red suspension bridge and walk to "Qinglong Waterfall". Along the way, you can overlook the green mountains and forests. Soon, the slender and elegant Qinglong Waterfall with a height drop of 116 meters will be on the roadside. Follow it down Walking up the slope trail to the valley viewing platform can shorten the distance to enjoy the waterfall, but travelers who have to go up or downhill or have knee discomfort are more doubtful!
Walking back to the Ginkgo Lake, most of the ginkgo leaves that turn yellow in early October have fallen, leaving only dead branches. However, there are still discolored metasequoia forests to take over, so that the reflection in the lake is still colorful and beautiful. It is amazing, even after a long ride. Come, it’s worth the price of admission!
In order to save time, I bought a return ticket and took the shuttle bus to Songtakiyan Falls. During the dry season, although it lacks the magnificence of the wet season, the huge stone cave is still an eye-opener. On the way back, I took the trail along the stream to the Flower Center. , another discolored Metasequoia forest next to the bridge attracted many tourists. It was almost five o'clock, and I saw a shuttle bus stopped at the shuttle station for a long time. I later found out that it was the last bus. No wonder it stopped at the shuttle station later. After waiting for a while, there were no more tourists, and it didn’t feel like there would be another bus coming again. First-time visitors should pay more attention!

Shanlinxi is a red foliage resort in central China. In late autumn, in addition to the bright red maple leaves, there is also an entire orange-red golden metasequoia forest. On a sunny Saturday, there was a huge traffic jam at Shanlin Creek. Just waiting to enter the park took more than an hour. Most of the maple leaves in the park have turned red. Unfortunately, the golden metasequoia forest has only turned red for about five minutes. In addition, the sunlight is blocked by the mountain edges, making it dark inside the metasequoia forest. It is a pity. If you want to go to Shanlinxi to enjoy the maple leaves, it is recommended to start early in the morning to reduce traffic jams and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the sun shining on the red leaves.

You can probably finish seeing this park in half a day, if half of your journey is on a paid shuttle. In fact I do recommend taking the shuttle from start to the end point where you see a beautiful waterfall, then walk down a lovely trail (average fitness level required) to the flower station, then take a shuttle to start point (it looks quite dangerous to walk down the road path - if doing that, hold on to your kids!).
There are many nice spots for photography with clouds, water, flowers, and iconic sculptures.
Then why not five stars? I think the transport can be improved. Waiting time for shuttles were long. Food and beverage offerings were sparse, boring and of course, at touristy prices. Toilets and food stalls at the end point (where almost everybody goes to) are temporary structures - it looks like they are finally in the midst of making a permanent centre, which is super long overdue isn’t it?). It appears that some form of competition is badly needed for the management to improve things around the park.
There are many nice spots for photography with clouds, water, flowers, and iconic sculptures.

第一次來到這個園區，在炎熱的夏天真是避暑的好地方，而且這裡的負離子超高，看到外面的顯示都超過50,000 ，這次兩天一夜，第一天坐接駁車上到松瀧岩瀑布，然後走了約四50分鐘，到了花卉中心，觀賞了很多繡球花以及一些其他花卉，因為有一點累就在坐接駁車回到住宿點。第二天直接走到青龍瀑布，大約走了半個鐘頭，沒有走到最下面的瀑布，只有觀賞到第一以及青龍第二瀑布，因為前幾天下雨很多，所以瀑布的水很多。住的地方外面有很多百子蓮，大部分是紫色，也有一些白色，非常漂亮，據說11月落雨松變成紅色的時候這裡景觀也很美，有機會一定會再來。

年輕時光是聽地名，就覺得是全台最浪漫的地方，加上這幾個月一直看到『我愛衫林溪』臉書大放送美美的貼文，就決定一定要一遊此天上人間。好不容易熬過（避開）暑假人潮，終於輪到我來啦～從心動到行動的距離竟花了三十年的時光。實在太感嘆了！行動後才發現我錯過的，不僅是流逝的時光，同時也發現剩餘訂房的數字，也是每天都在減少，天啊！原來這裡是一個超級熱門景點。
不知是否是吸足了滿滿的芬多精，第二天一早六點就醒來了。在靜謐的清晨中，呼吸著香甜的空氣，不禁令人想起禪修的氣氛，如果只能以一個字來形容，那就是---淨。大自然給予我們的就是純然的淨化。無論人類產生了多少的廢棄物，大自然都只能接納、消化，跟著大樹一起呼吸真是很幸福的，也是一種福氣。
一路上沿著溪流，從自然教育中心經過穿林步道而上，每到一個休息點就有一個花卉中心，提供遊客用餐休息。精心園藝造景設計，也滿足了無數媽婆們的少女心，紛紛變身為妖嬌的模樣，與美景合照。休息完了繼續往樂山步道而上，目標是松瀧岩瀑布。途中遇到修整木棧的工人，內心很感恩他們的辛勞，多虧了他們將環境維持得這麼好，讓我們安心的踏穩每個步伐，這一切的美好都建立在這些我們平日看不見的人身上。
不知道是不是老天爺的賞識，原本只預計走兩段步道，即可抵達瀑布。沒想到我們又多繞了一圈，走到了神木區的天眼步道，回家後算算，一天就走了11公里，三天的運動量啊～應該是賺到了。不過，還有銀杏森林還沒去，只能留待下回分解囉～

這次全家再次來杉林溪森林生態渡假園區，除了散心渡假，主要是賞牡丹花和水晶蘭，牡丹花季是杉林溪每年三、四月都會有的花展，而水晶蘭是野生的菌類，也是每年四、五月才會有，而杉林溪有特別培育，所以好找好拍，這裡是喜愛花鳥大自然者的樂園。

Scenery very calm and beautiful. Entrance and parking fees no problem. Small cars aren’t allowed on the road to the waterfall. It’s too dangerous so only buses can go they said. Didn't make sense but didn’t bother me.
We bought round trip tickets, took the bus there and walked back. Tried to refund the rest of the ticket and they said no. There is not discount for return ticket so you can buy two one way tickets and if you don’t use one you can return it. However, we learned after, if you buy one round trip and use half of it you can’t return it. Why would you sell these inferior round trip tickets unless you want to rip people off? We tried talking to multiple staff and they were all incorrigible. No attempt to understand.
We left after we realized they would fight to the death for 80nt and that’s how they were able to ruin such a great spot. Before this I was excited to return and bring more people to experience it.

Hi, if someone can advise. I would like to stay one night at Sun-Link Sea Forest and Nature Resort. But I read their website, there is only car direction, no bus information. If I am taking the Nantou bus from Taichung to Xitou, will the bus stop near Sun Link Sea Forest and Nature Resort? Thank You

You can take the local bus from ZhuShan to Xitou, then make a transfer other bus to Sun-Link-Sea Forest Resort.
