Great cinema show good movies but the food leaves a lot to be desired had the Pork and Kumura pie $7.50 asked the sales person to " Warm " it up, it was nuked maybe they forgot it was in the microwave.

It's not often you can have lunch and go to the opera, all in one place. The food was good, the coffee superb (I'm a bit of a coffee buff) and the staff very helpful.
The 'opera' was a movie of the NZ Opera production "Semele", which I had not seen before and enjoyed very much.

Our seat was a 2-seater couch. Very comfortable. Fantastic atmostphere. We saw a movie. The food is good and they have a great choice of drinks to choose from.

There is a certain olde world charm at the Lighthouse Cinema in Petone. I was fortunate to get a park across the road, but there was also some street parking closer to the beach. There was a pleasant busyness and patrons were managed efficiently. We didn't realise the options for cabinet food and so ate ahead of time, but the drinks were off a high standard. Unisex toilets were also busy but remarkably clean. The theatres were also clean and had comfortable 2-person couches with cushions. They offer a variety of discounts, including Entertainment Book (I found out too late). Thanks for the experience.

Parking is a nightmare which they can’t do too much about but arrive early in order to park in the car park across the road.

The Lighthouse is one fantastic viewing experience - so relaxed and comfortable. The staff are excellent and what they offer for "fund raisers" is terrific

Very cosy as they have the 2-seater sofa seats complete with throw pillows. They also have a bar that serves coffee, drinks and food so you can sit down and relax while waiting for the movie time. There is a fireplace upstairs which is really nice for those cold days.

A great Cinema in Petone, Wellington. Staff very friendly, the Cinema had good size screens with perfect surround sound. The seats were easily the most comfortable I've ever sat on in a Cinema. Toilets clean and tidy. The only downfall is that as it's also a bar/cafe and it was packed with people having only the one main counter with I believe just two tills service the entire thing it was very cramped while waiting to get our tickets which I purchased online. I'm not sure on food selection as we'd just had dinner so didn't get any food.

I have been here many times to watch a movie but this time we were tight for time and needed to grab a bite before the movie. We decided to try food in the cabinet and we weren't disappointed. Just enough to eat with great prices along with a coffee and ice cream. Will definitely stay in to eat rather than rush along Petone for a quick bite

My wife and I have enjoyed visiting lighthouse very much during our stay in Upper hutt. Especially on Tuesdays when the tickets are a bit cheaper #treatyourselftuesday
