We had a tremendous tour and tasting experience at Massolino. Laura was a knowledgeable and entertaining hostess. During the tour we were able to meet one of the owners, Federico Massolino. He was bringing a pallet of bottles to be labeled.
Massolino’s wines, facilities and location in Serralunga d’Alba are amazing. They’re one of my favorite producers.

Beautiful visit to the historic company, warm welcome and extreme kindness. The wines speak for themselves, but hospitality is always welcome.

We have been fans of Massolino for many years and visited the winery the last week of October 2023. Valentina was our host. She was very informative and passionate. We enjoyed the numerous wines we tried and the tour of the cellar was amazing. The overall facility is first class. It was also quite interesting to learn more about the family history and legacy in Serralunga d’ Alba.
We would highly recommend a visit here by any serious wine fan.

We were staying in Serralunga so were accustomed to the views. This was perhaps our only occasion that we felt the price was not worthy of the experience. If you already know the history of Nebbiolo grapes and just want to sample the wine, it is, in reality prohibitively priced. We paid 100 Euros to sample six wines, only one Barolo. The samples were minuscule, carefully measured and not a second taste if you were considering one. This was even more illuminating after visiting Tenuta Cucco where generous pours were the rule (and, as a result, dramatically increased our purchasing. The lady who served us was generous with her time and suggestions, but the overall experience was the least value of any of the tastings we experienced.

Our group of 15 was very well welcomed and we had a nice tour around the vinery. When it came to the wine tasting, we were presented with 6 different wines, however none of the more prestigious ones. We asked to buy an extra bottle to taste, but this was not possible. The visit cost 50 € p.p. and there was no discount if you bought wine to take away. Other vineries we visited did not charge anything for the tasting if we bought wine. They also presented their better wines. A very disappointing end to an otherwise nice visit.

We enjoyed a tremendous tasting experience at Massolino. Valentina was an excellent hostess. She’s one of the seven family members on staff. We tasted five (5) red wines: Dolcetto d’Alba, Barbera d’Alba, Lange Nebbiolo, Barolo and Barolo Margheria. All were very good. Valentina patiently explained the differences and advantages of each and we left with a much better understanding of the region, terroirs and wines. We put the knowledge to use later at dinner and thoroughly enjoyed their 2016 Barolo Margheria.
The tour of their winery was equally impressive and well worth the time. Absolutely fascinating!

We had a wine tasting with Valentina and two lovely Swedish couples. Valentina was very knowledgeable and we left the wine tasting knowing a lot more about Barolo. We had allowed 1 hour and 15 minutes for the tasting but it became closer to two hours. Unfortunately we had to leave for another tasting but would have loved to have stayed longer - it was that interesting. The wines were excellent!

Un sabato pomeriggio con amici da incorniciare!
Nel mese di maggio sono stata con alcuni amici provenienti da altre regioni in questa azienda a Serralunga d'Alba. Oltre ad aver già estasiato tutti gli ospiti con il panorama che si può godere raggiungendo l'azienda, al nostro arrivo le aspettative non sono andate deluse. In cantina è possibile effettuare un interessante wine tasting in cui il personale gentile e compente fa entrare i presenti nei vini di Langa con professionalità. Affascinanti le cantine...e con il gusto dei vini ancora ben deciso in bocca ne siamo usciti con diverse bottiglie al seguito (in particolare di Barolo e Barbaresco...ma c'è anche il Riesling).
Ben fatto in tutto e per tutto!
