This was a fantastic activity with the kids and really good fun for the adults as well. The kids aged 9-14 had a blast, even the teenager was happy to ride the donkey. No too much action, but a nice quiet outdoor experience with tons of information provided by Antonio, the owner of the donkeys.

Día inolvidable con la familia. Los niños y mayores disfrutamos de un paseo por el pueblo morisco de Comares. Un paseo especial, único en un entorno rural inigualable. Antonio, el responsable es super atento y amable. Hará la ruta que más os convenga. Sin duda, no debes perderte esta actividad cuando visites Comares. Llama antes y Antonio te diseñará la ruta que desees. AMAZING!! WONDERFUL!

In Comares you will find a tourist info center in the main square or previous to this under the Moorish main arches/gate to Comares town a tourist guide and information booth, here you can inquire and book your Burro or you can call the number provided on many leaflets dotted around town or perhaps you will find in your rented villa.
Booking a Donkey ride / tour is easy as this organization also speak English and will arrange with you a meeting place and a time of your choosing.
The Donkeys will take you around the outline of Comares on a 3km walk/trot where you can experience astonishing panoramic views, your host (on this case Antonio) is full of information about the area and is very friendly and trustworthy, so don't think you are about to be embarrassed by being pulled through the town and past all the bars of people instead you will discover the rural outskirts of Comares, looking up at it from the mountains feet.
These animals are friendly, clean and healthy (the one I guided around didn't want me to leave!), you are not strapped on, the donkeys have padded and traditionally blanketed harness on which you just have to sit, no experience of riding is required at all.
For the cost its a bargain experience and on the same note not just a quick walk up a street, you will be out for at least 1 hour so if your in peak season take water with you!
A perfect way to explore Comares "and you don't have to be a rambler".

I would certainly recommend to anyone requiring a taxi in the Costa Del Sol area to use the services of Eco transfers.
Besides being the most competitively priced at the time of my research on the web, the service we received from them was exemplary. They arrived precisely at the agreed time with an air conditioned vehicle and Alex the driver was friendly, obliging and made us feel quite safe with his driving style, unlike previous experiences that we have had to and from the airport.

Gewoon weg geen woorden voor. Ezel rijden om het dorp heen. Gewoon lachen en fun. Prachtige panorama. Bij heldere dag uitzicht op zee. Hoog in de bergen. Dorpje zelf is welliswaar klein maar leuk om de route te volgen van Moorse bezienswaardigheden. Ga er zeker nog een keer heen maar dan voor midnight ezel rijden. Ga erheen als je de gelegenheid hebt. Vriendelijke mensen
