We were blown away by the scenery on the Badlands Loop, everyone should have the opportunity to see these awe inspiring rock formations. The shapes and patterns, the colour, the wild rolling jagged landscape of it is simply breathtaking. I took hundreds of photos.

Wow factor. Just makes you want to see more of the park! You can walk out to the overlook, or just take your photos from the parking lot ... still spectacular.

We were drawn to pull over by other cars that saw Big Horn Sheep rams. Earlier we had just seen 3 other rams near this pullover walking in the grasslands. As we ran out of our car to cross the prairie for a better picture, I also saw a rabbit. Anyways the badland formations are amazing at every overlook. This one was special because we also saw animals.

Every turn on the Badlands loop brings new views. The overlook provides a grand panorama of the unusual landforms o. This no man’s land. Just a great spot in this wonderful USA. The colors are amazing and unexpected.

Badlands National Park as several really beautiful overlooks and each one is slightly different, but to me, this was my favorite. In my opinion, if you do not have time to do them all, do this one!

Very interesting and beautiful panaramic views. Like nothing our Midwest family had ever seen before. We stopped here after entering the park, then went on the hike, picnic at the visitor center, then finished driving the "loop" through the park. Beautiful!

This is the first overlook just inside the west side of the park and it's a great one! There are many places to walk out on to the rock and get a great view down. While there is a boardwalk with a fenced overlook, there is nothing stopping you from taking your own path. As you enter the park, the Badlands don't seem that spectacular until you stop here! Ample parking, but I do not remember seeing a bathroom.

there is a boardwalk, and there are some information board telling you about the Badlands. when we got there, we have a surprise to see to big horn sheep, and the scenery there is also beautiful, you can see the typical Badlands landscape with horizontal strips on the rocks and mountains, it's beautiful. It's worth to stop there to take a look, and seeing the big horn sheep is also a bonus.

This was one of my planned stops along the Badlands Loop. I wanted to see how people could possibly have lived or settled this area of the country. It is very eye opening.

I am coming from the south (Louisiana) and would like to know where would be best place to enter- thru Walls or eastern entrance in Interior

Either works okay but I prefer the eastern entrance. One can make a few stops then see the visitor center and continue to the west where there are many more stops. When done with the main, paved part of the park road, one can continue onto the dirt portion and visit more, including the prairie dog town, time and interest permitting, without the need to double back.
