What an amazing experience and what a great guide, Dalyn. Dalyn was supper funny, entertaining, and his knowledge of history, plants, animals was very impressive. He was amazing at spotting animals. We saw couple of bears, several caribous, mama and baby moose, Dall’s sheep, and even a wolf. We learn tons about the park, history, animals, plants while being super entertaining. He always position the bus the way so everyone could take amazing pictures and see the animals. It was a great fun experience for my entire family (kids ages 13 and 10). We got box of small snd water as part of the tour which especially the kids thought it was a nice touch.

Took the Tundra Wilderness Tour 04 at 7 am and was impressed with our guide’s (Dailyn’s) range of park history and knowledge of its plants and animals. We saw moose and bear and Dailyn’s spotting and positioning of the bus allowed for great photographs. We appreciated his insight, humor, and willingness to work toward providing us with a great experience.

The tour bus picked us up at our hotel. We had the afternoon tour that left at 4pm. It was a large bus with 50-60 people onboard. Our guide narrated throughout the tour. We saw moose, caribou, and a black bear. The tour was 5.5-6 hours, which was too long for me. The scenery was beautiful but about the same everywhere you turned. They provided a snack box and a bottle of water.

The views were amazing! As impressive as the views was our guide Mr. Blalock. The information he gave us during the tour was interesting , never boring and relevant to the rest of our journey. And finally his passion to help us see the wildlife and be respectful of their habitat was incredible.

My husband and I took this tour on September 4th with some longtime friends. We absolutely loved every minute of this tour!!! Dallin was an AMAZING guide/driver and a big highlight of our tour. He is so personable and knowledgeable. His love for the Park, its flora and fauna, and its history was so evident and infectious. We learned so much about the Park and gained a deeper appreciation for all the effort that goes into keeping these amazing wilderness spaces available for future generations thanks to all the history Dallin shared with us. Photos do not do the fall colors in the park justice; you just have to go and if you score Dallin as your guide/driver you have hit the jackpot!
We had limited expectations about seeing wildlife on the tour as we know how vast the park is but we enjoyed an "emBEARisment" of riches, getting five sightings of bears on the trip along with Dall's sheep, caribou, golden eagles and, my favorite, ptarmigan. Dallin did a wonderful job of orienting the bus so everyone could get a good view of the wildlife we did see and using the zoom camera to zoom in on the bears and Dall's sheep and caribou so we could see them on the little screens in the bus. That was so helpful since many of the animals were so far away. Thank you to Dallin for making this trip so fabulous! (Tried to submit photos but they would not upload for some reason.)

The scenery and animals were amazing (we saw 5 grizzly bears, 30-40 Dall sheep, caribou, and ptarmigan), but the highlight of the trip was our tour guide/bus drive Dallin. He provided us with lots of lots of very interesting information packaged in fun stories. He perfectly finessed the line between talking too much or too little and between too humorous and too dry. He felt like a good friend by the end of the trip. He also knew how to position the bus so the most people could get good pictures and then moved again to make sure everyone could get a good picture. And he didn't only stop for animals, he also stopped for gorgeous views and for birds.

This excursion was the highlight of our trip to Denali. Our guide Kevin had spent 19 seasons here, so he was full of information. We saw Mount Denali in full sunlight. Amazing! Kevin was great at finding wildlife and we spotted 16 grizzly bears and caribou and a possible moose. This tour is a must! You should ask for Kevin!

Denali National Park is gorgeous! September is an amazing time to go because the bugs are non existent and the colors are turning. The park is simply breathtaking and the best way to see it is on these tours which allow you to go deeper into the park than you could go on your own. Our guide, Jason B, was awesome. He had extensive knowledge of the wildlife we saw as well as the flora and fauna, plus some good jokes! We were able to see two different sets of Mama Bears with their cubs, Moose, the Arctic squirrel and Dahl sheep. Not to mention the simply amazing vistas that Denali has to offer. Definitely well worth the early start and money! I would absolutely do it again.

I would have given the tour 6 stars if possible! Our guide was Dallin and he was AWESOME! He was funny and a fountain of information. You could tell he loves his job and preserving the park. He made the day very memorable!

Amazing tour with Jason! You can tell he really enjoys educating visitors on the tour. He was great at spotting animals and zooming in with the scope. He really took the time for us to get a good long look.
We got four of the "Big 5", sadly no wolves. :(
We also joined the 30% club with our beautiful glimpse of Denali.
Only drawback is 5.5 hours on a bus with other humans. LOL. If they offered pri ate tours with Jason, we would probably dish out the moolah for it.
Just do it.

We want to visit Alaska in June 2024, but I’m starting to panic thinking everything is booked far in advance and I’m confused. A lot of the lodging is not available for next June so now I’m wondering if tours are booked up also? When does this tour become available to book for June 2024? Or are the tours already booked the year ahead? Excuse my stupid question appreciate any help

Booking for 2023 began via the Aramark website on December 1. I booked on that day without any issue (I believe bookings open that date each year). I also continued to check on availability many times during the months prior to our depart in August (just for my information) and there didn't seem to be a problem until a few weeks prior,. However, I would recommend booking as soon as you know your travel dates.

Due to the rise in breakthrough COVID cases due to the Delta variant, I am curious about three things:
1) How ventilated is the bus. Are there windows at every seat, and are the windows open?
2) Is the bus full? If not about how far apart to people sit?
3) Do they enforce everyone wearing a mask?
撰写日期:2021年7月11日
Good questions!
1/ Yes, their were windows at every seat and they could be opened/closed. They were closed when we got in the bus. If you open the window at your seat, the people sitting behind you get the brunt of the wind or rain so keep that in mind. Temperature will likely determine whether or not you'll want to open/close your window after talking with the other passengers.
2/Yes, the bus was completely full. My driver said all tours were sold out through the end of Summer. You should expect all seats on your bus will be taken.
3/The Driver repeatedly asked people to where masks. This is a requirement coming from the Federal government which governs national parks, not the tour operator. However, I didn't observe the driver specifically enforce the mask rule. Many people were eating and drinking on the bus sans mask, which was explicitly allowed.

Hi, we are going to do this in June. Can you give some insight into the logistics of the tour? Do you stop and get off the bus at all or are you on the bus the entire time? are there any facilities while on the tour? It sounds amazing, but I do not think I can sit for 8 hours without getting outside and moving around. Thanks in advance.

There are three stops for restroom and stretching, the rest of the tour is on the bus. The Park is very careful not to allow tourists to spoil the natural habitat which makes the tour long but still worth doing. If you have young children they may not sit still.

How would this tour be for an 8 and 12 year old boy? Our group will have two people in their 70s, two couples in their 40s and 50s, plus the kids I mentioned. We are wondering if we should do the hop on hop off bus or the tour. The kids have difficulty sitting all day...
撰写日期:2020年1月22日
We have not done the hop on hop off but it is a long day and the kids would probably struggle. I don’t think you will get as far into the park on the hop off/on if you’re not staying in the park.

what time is the best time to start this tour to see the animals. As early as 6 am? Less crowded in the park at that time?
撰写日期:2019年10月18日
We were on a cruise ship inland Denali tour. We left the hotel at 7.30.
We never saw any animals really early and doesn’t get really crowded in there as most people are on tour buses.
It’s the luck of the draw how many animals you see.

can you tell us what the price difference to upgrade was at that time?
撰写日期:2019年9月19日
Were you allowed to get down from the bus for few minutes to take photos/enjoy the views?
撰写日期:2018年6月19日
Yes the bus stops about every hour to hour and a half for restroom breaks and at overlook parks for pictures of the views. Drivers also stop for photos for wildlife and spectacular views where there is no place to get out for photos from the bus.

Were you and passengers of the bus allowed to get down for few minutes at the attractions for sightseeing and taking photos?
撰写日期:2018年6月19日
Our driver made 3 bathroom breaks to walk around and take pics. The last stop has a tiny gift shop. These are the only times you can get off the bus. It is about an hour between stops. The drivers will slow and stop for wildlife for pics but no getting off the bus. With the stops our tour lasted a food 8 hours. Hope this helps.
