Great stop if you get there early enough! We stopped on our way to Spruce Flats Falls around 9:30/10 am and very few people and enjoyed ourselves. Then were going to swing by on our way back around 2 pm and it was bumper to bumper trying to get into the small parking lot. So very there early and enjoy it! Otherwise maybe not worth it.

Such a hidden gem! Not a long hike to get to the swimming area and water was so clear!
Parking lot was small so try to get there early in the morning, it fills up quick!

This is a beautiful spot to view a waterfall without going on a hike. We watched lots of people jumping from the cliff into the water and we even watched a kayaker going down the fall.

We visited The Sinks during our stay in Gatlinburg. 2 families with children ages 6 months-15 years. The older kids had a great time jumping from the cliffs. Definitely bring water shoes! Parking lot is small, we left around 2:30 and there were plenty of spaces by then with no line.

The Sinks was an unexpected stop for us. We packed a little too much into the day and Clingmans Dome became unrealistic since we had to be in Pigeon Forge in the early evening. Once we scrapped that, we decided to enjoy all that Little River Road had to offer. The Sinks ended up being the highlight of the road for us. The falls under the bridge are excellent. We got great pictures of that and then did a little bit of the trail and went down to the river's edge. The root system of the trees around there are very cool. The pictures down the river with the trees budding ended up really cool. Definitely stop here if you have the time.

This area is right off the main road and can be a quick stop. No hiking required. Nice and peaceful area.

My wife & I recently visited here. From Sugarlands Visitor Center you will travel west 12 miles on Little River Road. The road runs parallel to the Little River creating some spectacular scenery. The Sinks formed when the River makes an S turn & flows over giant river boulders. This is one of the most picturesque spots along the way to Cades Cove. We never miss an opportunity to come here when we visit the area. Very limited parking.

Stop for some adrenaline filled people watching as folks jump off the cliff and swim in the water! We stopped along the road way too early, so before you pull over to park, make sure there are not open spots up closer to the water.

It actually is not a great waterfall, just have some falls under the bridge, there is a viewing platform for it, we just take some pictures there.

Is this appropriate for elderly people...my father in law is 82. Will he be able to walk there? He is in good shape.

Sorry for the delay! You can drive up to the Sinks and he could probably see it that way. It is not necessary to hike down the rocks to see it.
