Great walk through a lovely forest. It’s easy for the most part with a few moderate spots. Nothing too serious. The first part is a natural path. There are some rocky & heavy root areas. Many big theres line the path. The suspension bridge is low & easily crossed. The boardwalk after you cross is where you will really see the Old Timers. Take all parts in. A set of Twin Firs 1000 years old as well as many other huge beautiful trees. The boardwalk protects the roots. So glad we saw this area.

The trees on this trail are some of the biggest in the park. They are enormous and clearly very old. There is a fun suspension bridge to cross on this trail, and a boardwalk that will take you around the forest once you cross that bridge. Stay on the boardwalks; if you step off onto the dirt, you will be damaging the ecosystem. The parking lot for this trail is generally full, so you will likely have a difficult time finding a spot to park.

Sad that these are the only old growth trees left in this area. Glad that they are still here, though. Nice walk across the swinging bridge to this little piece of land.

Great easy hike with a cool suspension bridge with one at a time passage. Great for Family's with kids too.

This wonderful clear splashy river flows through Mt. Rainier National Park at the Grove of the Patriarchs area. There is a great Suspension Bridge that crosses the river and has good view of it. We enjoyed this quiet area and the 1.5 mile gentle walk under the giant trees.

Very cool environment. Mostly flat, and short hike for the family with lots of centuries old trees. A must do if you are int area.

We stopped here just days before Stevens Canyon Pass opened, so basically drove out of out way for this one area, but it was cool, so worth it! The restroom was open, but the nearby visitor center and park entrance were not - honor system at the moment!

Incredibly humbling to see these giants close up. Gives you some perspective of your spot on the planet. Be sure to go across the suspension bridge to see the big boys. A wonderful experience.
