Booked the half day leisure learning charter and had a great time. Captain Bob has been sailing since he could walk I think. Very knowledgeable and accommodating for a couple rookies. Will definitely book again next time We're in the area

Bob worked well with me to schedule my combination class 101 and 103 and since I was a solo with sailing experience we were able to streamline and focus on the knowledge and skill that I needed to learn. Bob is a great instructor that is very knowledgeable with sailing and the area. He was able to answer and explain all of the questions I had. I recommend taking the ASA courses with bob!

Loved Capt Bob. Entertaining and interesting! We sailed around Pensacola Bay and we learned so much about the area.

I have never been to a sailing class before but I have attending many training classes in my corporate career and Floridaze Sailing School & Charters with Captain Bob are top-notch! I have NO hesitation in recommending a more capable teacher and captain. Captain Bob provided training in a comfortable environment; you learn while having fun. It was long days with lots of book work, practical sailing and evening study time to achieve the results of ASA101. This review is being posted after I completed the ASA certification and have rented a sailboat and sailed the Tampa Bay area. It was amazing!! I had no problems and could hear what Captain Bob had taught me over and over in my head. If you are looking to get certified Floridaze Sailing Charters can’t be beat for quality teaching, price, equipment, knowledge, patience and personality. 5/5 Stars no question.

I booked a charter with Captain Bob for a day sail while in Pensacola on vacation with my dad. I had previously taken an ASA 101 and 103 course last year with a different sailing school and needed a refresher. After spending the day on the water with Captain Bob we not only had a great sail, I also learned a lot. Captain Bob is a very patient and knowledgeable instructor who completely put me at ease as we sailed. It made me wish I had taken my original ASA training with him. I highly recommend Floridaze Sailing and Captain Bob!

My wife and I took ASA 101 with Floridaze Sailing and Capt Bob; I had sailed previously but my wife was a complete novice. The instruction we both received was first class and definitely benefited from obvious experience Bob can draw upon.
I would wholeheartedly endorse Floridaze to anyone considering any ASA course, I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Selected Capt Bob for my instructor for my sailing 101, 103 and 104. Having sailed previously I was hoping to get the rust off and refine my skills. Bob was absolutely outstanding. He has a great professional demeanor and is easy to work with. He is a master at his craft and has a passion for sailing that is infectious. Every day was a learning experience and Bob created the perfect learning environment. The week went by all too fast and overall it was a fantastic experience. I would highly recommend Capt Bob to anyone seeking to learn how to sail or to refine their skills.

My husband Brad and I decided to take sailing 101 and 103 with Floridaze Sailing and it was the best thing. We have always talked about buying a boat and sailing away but we weren't comfortable buying a boat before we knew how to sail. We talked to Bob, ordered our books and schedule a time to come down. Once our books arrived we started reading and very quickly found out that there was much more to sailing than just setting sail. I have never been in a sailboat before this time and I loved every minute of it. The first days felt like the longest. Just getting used to what we needed to be doing and learning what everything was got a little stressful, not going to lie. I am not going to claim to know everything, we still have lots to learn.
It's such a different world that powerboats but it's a good different.
Bob's experience and knowledge of sailboats is unmeasurable. He was such a patient and kind teacher we couldn't have asked for anyone better. After our four days of classes we left knowing we would always have a teacher, mentor, friend in Captain Bob. He did give us one piece of advice before leaving and that was not to buy a boat before running it past him first. Which was reassuring because we knew he wasn't just doing the classes and that was the end of it.
Well, after returning home we were fortunate enough to find a boat in his area that he has helped advise us on and even took time out of his day to go look at the boat for us. We cannot express our gratitude for his knowledge and expertise. He even gave us the shirt off his back!
Brad and I would highly recommend Floridaze Sailing for anyone looking to start a new sailing chapter in their life.

Taking sailing lessons with Captain Bob and Floridaze Sailing School was a great experience. I expected to learn a little and to have a nice time doing so. Instead, I learned a tremendous amount and spent a fabulous few days on the water making new friends and enjoying the beauty of northwest Florida.
Some people can sail, and some people can teach. A lucky few can do both, and that's the case with Captain Bob. His friendly demeanor, outgoing personality, and teaching skills, previously honed in a traditional classroom, clearly play a role in his success with students.
I signed up as a singleton and was joined by another adult who was vacationing in the area. I thought it would be awkward taking a class with a stranger, but it wasn't. By the end of our time the two of us passed our sailing certification (ASA 101), felt confident on the water, and even shared some inside jokes with Captain Bob.
Oh! Did I mention that the Blue Angels flew overhead and we saw porpoises swimming alongside us each time we went out? Serious fun....!

Instead of our usual week lying on the beach and often being in different places, our family spent four days learning how to sail with Captain Bob. Bob had to work with people of different ages and sailing experience (including complete novices) and was an outstanding instructor for all. Our classroom was the boat itself and Cpt. Bob’s approach to learning was hands-on. With decades of sailing experience, including competitive racing, Cpt. Bob really knows what he is doing. He will not let you get by with doing anything that could build bad habits or make sailing unsafe. At the same time, his passion for sailing, carpe diem ethos and big-hearted nature are infectious. You will not be able to just kick back but you will have a great time. Sailing gave us a deeper appreciation of the sea itself and the life in it: we saw porpoise alongside our boat on a couple of occasions. We left this spring break with wonderful memories and when our teenage sons were asked how they spent their vacation, they could say they learned how to become sailors. How cool. If you have any interest in sailing, DO THIS. Bob is great.
