La rocca è il castello meglio conservato della Valdinievole. All'interno anche un pregevole museo archeologico che permette di leggere il territorio anche attraverso la lente del tempo. Vi custodito anche il famoso Ercole Promachos, un bronzetto di epoca etrusco romana rinvenuto nei paraggi. Ottimo il materiale didattico. Gratuito.

Hotel e i borghi medioevali. Anche la montagna pistoiese fino all'Abetone. Bella anche Montecatini alta e Monsummano alto.

La rocca di Larciano è molto ben conservata e mantiene quasi per intero la cinta muraria medievale. Il panorama sulla Valdinievole e sul Padule di Fucecchio è spettacolare. Merita una visita.

Larciano è un comune della provincia di Pistoia, nel comprensorio Valdinievole-Montalbano, con sede comunale in pianura nella frazione San Rocco, mentre la salita al Castello di Larciano offre un bellissimo panorama. La presenza di questo borgo è documentata dal X secolo. Vi si accede da una antica porta ed è un luogo collinare, racchiuso tra mura, particolarmente tranquillo. Attualmente la torre è in fase di restauro. Per le piccole e strette stradine è’ consigliabile accedere a piedi.

Posizione dominante ma molto nascosto fra le colline che declinano dal Montalbano.
Carine le viuzze e la fortificazione.
Ottimo per concludere una giornata facendo una "mini escursione".

Local pequeno,tranquilo na colina do chianti doc,com um frantoio onde se pode adquirir azeite extra virgem da região.Tem uma bela visão do Val di Nievole.Vários são os acessos para àqueles que desejam fazer um passeio de moutain bike ou mesmo a pé.Tem uma paróquia com padre Agostino muito agradável.Desaconselho o restaurante"Il Marzocco"caríssimo e com um cardápio nada especial,que se pode encontrar por um preço muito mais acessível no entorno!

Sicuramente un simbolo del paese.
Da non perdere se si viene a visitare questo piccolo paese.
Conservato come un tempo ospita un piccolo borgo ed il suo castello prorio come era in origine. Molto caratteristico.

... perché conserva ancora preccoché integra l'intera cinta muraria del XII secolo con le tre porte di accesso. Ma l'edificio più spettacolare è sicuramente la rocca o cassero, su cui spicca l'alta torre quadrangolare, da cui si osserva uno splendido panorama sulla Valdinievole e il Valdarno. Molto interessante anche il piccolo Museo archeologico, presente all'interno della rocca: vi sono esposti reperti che spaziano dalla preisoria al Rinascimento, provenienti dal territorio della Valdinievole.

Today me and my partner stumbled across this little gem whilst out village bobbing. We were beckoned to stop by an elderly gentleman doing his garden.
I'm so glad we did, the shop was closed probably due to the time of year but the castello and museum were open. We were greeted by a lovely young lady who welcomed us inside and promptly opened up the tower at our request. There are around 150 steps but they are not steep and easily manageable. The tower itself is quite spacious inside which Deb was pleased about. The climb to the top was I must say quite eerie and I found myself thinking of the village people of past that must of climbed up this tower in more menacing times.
Once at the top the view on this clear day was absolutely stunning, you could see full 360 deg as far as the eye could roam, simply wonderful.
After we descended we went into the museum which is only very small ( 1 room ) but quite interesting and gives you a glimpse into past life in the town.
I'm not sure how busy it gets during high season but it made it that little bit more special that we were the only ones there. I would definitely recommend a visit and it doesn't cost anything ( no collection box just a visitor book to sign )

Ci sono cresciuto.
La Rocca mi ha sempre affascinato, teatro di scontri tra Lucca e Firenze, la posizione che domina la valdinievole.
Per chi ha voglia di fare un po' di gradini, la torre offre uno spettacolo bellissimo.
Chi ha la voglia e la curiosità di un panorama in aperta campagna è una delle soluzioni ideali.
La Rocca mi ha sempre affascinato, teatro di scontri tra Lucca e Firenze, la posizione che domina la valdinievole.
Per chi ha voglia di fare un po' di gradini, la torre offre uno spettacolo bellissimo.
Chi ha la voglia e la curiosità di un panorama in aperta campagna è una delle soluzioni ideali.
