Brilliant, 6 hour trip around Havana with Carlos our driver. Car was great, orange and open topped. We visited all the local tourist places and even went to Ernest Hemmingway's house which was out of Havana. Carlos was friendly and gave us the history of each site. A great day.

We visited Havana as part of a 2 week cruise and booked this tour independently as advised by our travel agent. It was my husband's birthday and I had asked for a convertible car from the year he was born if possible. We were delighted to find that the beautiful pink Ford Fairline was waiting for us. After that things only got better! The 3hrs we spent with our guide Jorge and driver Julio were definitely the highlight of our Caribbean tour. Jorge had excellent English and was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his fascinating country. We learned so much about the history, geography and the people of Cuba but also had great fun. Jorge took some great photos of us during the tour and sent us 30+ before we even got home.
We felt very privileged to have met such lovely people and felt very emotional when we said goodbye to them.
We wholeheartedly recommend this company from the very first contact with Rodrigo Ronda who organises the trips through to the car, driver and guide. We would give it more than 5 stars if possible.

We booked a 2 hour trip three weeks before arriving on a cruise ship. Everything was confirmed on an email and a map was sent to a hotel not far from the terminal. Upon arrival we found the hotel and was immediately met by Rodrigo, who confirmed all the details on the email. Even though we were 10 minutes early the driver was there and he took us to his CHEROLET DELUXE 1951. He spoke perfect English. His name was José. He was so knowledgeable and spoke about every point of interest along the way. He asked us if we wanted to stop at some of the attractions. Some we stopped and and other we asked to just continue. Close to the end of the trip the hood had to be pulled up due to a downpour. All adding to the experience. At the end of the trip José left us directly back to the cruise terminal rather than the pick-up point as it was pouring with rain. The car was very comfortable and run like a dream the entire tour.
This is one experience not to be missed and it is really good value. The guys from the company we met were friendly and helpful.

We booked their Hemingway Route tour, and in three hours we visited Hemingway’s estate, the Cojimar town where Hemingway used to fish, and a colonial fortress just outside the old town. Our driver Ernesto was really knowledgeable and acted as our tour guide when we visited these different sites. At the end of the trip we added an extra hour and had Ernesto take us through the city to see the Revolution Square, the university of Havana, and the Malecón. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Havana for their first time!
The pricing is also nice: 30 USD per hour, which is almost half the asking price of other antique cars waiting outside big hotels if you don’t book in advance. It is even cheaper than hiring taxis: by comparison a 15 mins cab ride usually cost more than 10 bucks/2000 pesos unless you try really hard to bargain. So if you wish to skip all the hassle of bargaining with taxi drivers, just hire one of their classy antique cars and go on their tours to see all those sites that a first timer in Havana should visit.

Michael picked us up promptly in his red Buick from our hotel for our 3 hour tour of Havana. He showed us some great sights across the city including Chinatown, revolution square, Havana Forrest, malecon, Christ of Havana & the fort!

Many thanks to our driver, Orlando, for a fantastic introduction to Cuba and a wonderful tour!
You must include this tour company on your vacation and I highly recommend scheduling it in advance for your first full day in Havana, to get an overview of the city sites.
We reserved our trip via email a few weeks in advance. The communication and confirmation were easy and quick. The day of our tour, Orlando picked us up at our hotel on time and we started our 6 hour tour, which passed very quickly. He took us to all the major sites, mentioning history, culture, architecture, politics, current events, and more. We enjoyed asking him more in-depth questions as we drove.
In addition to the tour, we asked for his friendly assistance with making a few stops like a shopping market, antique store, cigar shop, and a lunch stop on the waterfront. It seems that within your tour, it can be customized, so it’s best to review what you’d like to see and/or skip when your tour begins. For example, we just asked to drive by Hotel National, so we can go for lunch the following day and walk around the grounds.
Don’t forget to ask him the story behind his special, pink convertible!
We hope to return again and recommend to our family/friends! Thank you!

As part of my wife's 50th birthday celebration, I organized this car tour for the early evening before going to a cabaret show. We told our driver, Manuel, that we would leave the two-hour tour up to him as it was his city and we were the guests. The tour didn't disappoint. We went through many of the neighbourhoods that one might not get to see under normal circumstances, including a couple of parks in the city that were beautiful. Manuel was knowledgeable and engaging and was open about the current struggles the people of Cuba are experiencing.
The booking process through Rodrigo was very easy, as was communication leading up to the big day.
It was definitely a highlight of our stay in Havana. The car was beautiful. Manuel was an exceptional driver and guide. I cannot recommend this service enough if you are looking for the best way to see Havana. (We booked 4-6pm in August and it was the perfect time of day...still light yet the heat had died off a little).

The whole trip was amazing from start to finish. We was given plenty of information along the way and even more information about Havana when we visited the old town and new town. The place were we was taken for lunch was lovely, food was great and staff very pleasant.

My friend and I had an unforgettable tour in the pink 1956 Ford Fairlane car! Our driver was excellent and our tour guide Jorge truly went above and beyond to provide a fun, informative, and unique experience. Jorge generously took photos of my friend and I with his professional camera throughout the tour, and shared them with us later. A highlight of our tour was our stop near Rio Almendares where we explored a gorgeous wooded area and drank delicious Pina Coladas. Rodrigo was very responsive and made booking simple! This tour is a must during your time in Havana!

We have a big group traveling together. We are taking this tour in 7 convertibles. We are putting 4 people per car, plus the driver and the tour guide. Is this too many people in one car? Has anyone done this with 6 per car? Should we eliminate the tour guide?

I don't think there's a preference, they'll have to convert the US dollars anyway. We paid in CUC. We tipped 30% split evenly between the guide and driver. Wirth every cent!!!

This is a great tour company! Fun and friendly guides that know which ship you're coming in on and will find you. We had to meet somewhere other than the Church. We did the Hemingway tour to see his home which has an excellent little bar on the property. (surprise, surprise ;) We also visited his favorite restaurants and bars in town. We let the guide choose where we should eat lunch and he did a magnificent job. They leave you to eat by yourselves. When you dock at the Cuban terminal, exchange your dollars/euros before going outside. There is a machine that you can use just to the right of the long line. Be sure to take sunscreen and protective headwear and light jacket to protect you from the Cuban sun while riding in the convertible. We were on the tour about 5 hours, any longer would have been too much for me!

Six hours is needed if you wish to see everything. We asked if we could change some of the itinerary as we wanted to visit the Hotel Nacional and Guanabacoa/Hemingway’s old home along with the other stops around the city. Also, stopped for lunch/not included in the price. Make sure to purchase CUC when you pass through customs. Will need their cash for payment as well as tipping driver and guide. This was a really fun day for our group.

A lot depends on the experience you expect. I LOVED Old Car Tours! The ease of making a reservation, the communication, They were at our designated meeting space just as described. I tipped 20CUC's to the driver and 20 CUC's to the guide. As it turned out the experience could not have been better. For me it was worth it for great service!
