We booked a snorkeling tour three weeks in advance, then they cancelled us the night before, blaming a computer glitch. When we looked on their site, the same tour was some 2000 dollars more expensive. This was just a money grab. So unprofessional, left us high and dry at the 11th hour. Neve book through Viator!

Our Snorkeling in Paradise experience was absolutely awful. After the Hard Rock driver dropped us off he left without any instruction. We waited in line and waited some more for someone to tell us what to do.
We were then taken in a line to parrots where each person had their picture taken (later for sale) while everyone behind waited. Same thing with a sea lion that came next.
The entire ‘park’ smelled like death and the beach nearby was knee deep in brown seaweed and smelled just as bad. It was revolting.
We were taken to the dolphins who were kept in small enclosures in dark brown water where we and a large group went to interact with them with for 5 minutes. My kids liked that part.
Then on to the small catemeran where we sailed through murky brown waters until we found a small patch of clear water in which we could snorkel. This was fine. Nothing amazing or out of the ordinary.
We were given beer and cheap rum as we sailed through the brown waters to an area where there were about 20 other boats and hundreds of people standing in shallow water drinking from plastic cups. So, we stood and drank. Paradise? Umm, not so much.
The staff played some loud music onboard so women could line dance and then they passed around shots.
Back through the brown waters as we headed black and we reached a point where the smell of death was so overwhelming people were gagging. I can’t even describe how bad it was. It went way beyond sewage plant smell.
Once we reached the brown seaweed beach we were shuttled to an area to buy pictures taken throughout the day. Since the smell of death was strong here we decided to go straight to our bus where we found the majority of our group already waiting.
Of all the vacation excursions I have taken this goes down as the worst. It was cheap, boring and just disgusting.

The hosts are great and make your feel comfortable. They play great music and everyone weaves to from other boats. You go 30 mins out to a nearby reef. The reefs are fairly bare and mostly rocks but the views are amazing. We saw huge sting ray 5-7' wide that was brown and had speckles on it. After an hour you boat to a party cove and hang out in the shallows with other party boats and meet people from all around the world. A snorkeling boat broke down on the way back and our captain towed him in. Very good people with high dignity. Would do it again. Also remember to save some bread and put it in a water bottle to shake out under water to attract tens of fish at one time. The water is so clear! Great memory and good times :)

FOR REAL!!!!! This is crazy... its like you're turning into a sea creature and you can go and see the way they live underwater. This was so amazing the group went twice!!!!

OK, we hebben met PFI gesnorkeld met roggen en haaien en op een eilandje dat onder water ligt lekker van een drankje genoten.
Maar waar ze echt goed in zijn, is het geven van duikles. Mijn zoontje van tien, alias de waterrat wilde per se kunnen duiken. Dus de hele wereld afgezocht voor een goede school. Met PFI gebeld vanuit Nederland en ze stelden mij gerust dat zij een veilige PADI Scuba konden aanbieden. Mag vanaf 10 jaar.
Mijn zoon heeft eerst thuis goed gestudeerd en daar op de hotelkamer. Zijn toetsen goed afgelegd en vervolgens mocht hij aan de lessen beginnen. In twee dagen tijd deed hij al zijn verplichte oefeningen en de derde dag gingen wij de zee in. Ik mocht ook mee natuurlijk. De vierde dag mochten wij gratis omdat ze een keer heel laat waren met het ophalen vanwege een lekke band en andere pech.
PFI: bedankt voor de onvergetelijke service en dat jullie mijn jongen zijn droom hebben laten uitkomen. We hebben onze vakantie naar de DR speciaal daarvoor geboekt. We zullen jullie nooit meer vergeten! Duizendmaal dank voor de goede zorg van mijn zoontje!!!
Wij komen graag weer naar Punta Cana en dan zeker ook om met jullie te duiken.

We booked the 3 hour excursion, and had a wonderful time. We snorkeled for quite a bit, and my wife and I actually saw 3 species of fish that we had never seen before and we are certified scuba divers! The crew was absolutely fantastic and obviously loved what they did. The last part of our excursion was a shallow area that they called a natural pool where we swam and enjoyed a cocktail in the ocean while listening to music! We had never danced or drank IN the ocean before! It was nice!

The full day excursion was very enjoyable with beautiful beach on Catalina Island, great service on the roomy Catamaran with friendly, fun loving service by staff. Although the day was windy, the staff still made the trip very enjoyable. Lunch served on island was very good. Vendors on beach a little aggressive but did not take away from a great day sailing and snorkeling.

no esta a la altura de los arrecifes de tulum pero la verdad que vale la pena para todos los amantes de este deporte!!!

Snorkeling was great . Floating bar as we swam.The catamaran was smooth, entertaining crew. lots to drink. 3 hrs was just right.

During our Thanksgiving stay at Ocean Blue and Sand, we booked this Snorkel excursion through PFI. We are a family of 5, children ages 16 13 and 9. This was the perfect way to introduce the kids to snorkeling. The boat was very nice; the crew was amazing and the trip was just perfect. Our first stop was to a reef where the crew instructed us on how to use the equipment and where to view the fish. After our 25 minute stay, the crew took us to a site where we could swim with the sharks and stingrays. This is something I didn't think I would do, but I did and it was a great experience. Lastly, we went to a shallow area to swim and enjoy a cocktail whil listening to music. It was a nice relaxing way to end the trip. The ocean floor in this area was nice and clear, not rocky and the kids practiced more snorkeling, even though there wasn't much to see in terms of marine life here. Lastly, the customer service extended beyond our trip when I arrived home and realized that our photo disc we had purchased was defective, I was heartbroken....they were kind enough to get all the photos to us - and looking at the photos, you can tell we had a GOOD TIME! Special shout out again to the friendly and helpful crew!

Hello- We just arrived home this morning from Punta Cana - we purchased pictures that were taken while on the excursion. Receipt #1566, trip was on Tuesday 5/3/16. The disc we picked up from the desk is blank. It says there 702 of 702 unused space on the disc. Can we please get our pictures sent to us either email or a disc with photos via snail mail?

Thanks for this review, Gasper. I have a couple other questions for you--was the snorkeling good (good aquatic life to see etc)? Also would this be an excursion appropriate for 11-15yo (we have 3) to learn/enjoy snorkeling? TIA.
