We took a trip for the first time to the Dominican Republic. We stayed at the Westin Resort, Punta Cana. By far our favorite place during the visit was the Don Queco cigar bar! Spent many hours there being treated wonderfully by the staff and most of all by Jose Ventura. Food, cigars, rum, anything we wanted. Truly a great place and the staff was wonderfully helpful, truly looking after our well being to make every aspect of our trip pleasant. Special thanks to Jose, Hector, and the whole staff. We will be back.

We stayed here from 2/27 - 3/4/19. The resort itself is a quiet place. Nothing much to do here unless you play golf. Good place for just having a luxury quiet time by the beach on day time then hang out at Don Queco after dinner.
We really enjoyed hanging out at Don Queco each night. They have good cigar choices and plenty of drinks to pair.
The staff are great. We were mostly tended by Meranyeris Medina. She’s awesome! She remembered our preferences. She knows exactly how we want our cigars, how we want our whisky served.
I would hang out in this place again if given the chance.

Thank you for taking the time to write your kind review. There is so much to do at The Puntacana Resort & Club. Walking distance from The Westin you can find Playa Blanca where you can practice all kinds of water sports. At the Kite School (kayaking, kitesurf, and sailboat) and at the Dive Center they offer scuba diving, snorkeling, fishing, coral reef gardening, and a tour of the underwater museum. At the Puntacana Ecological Foundation they have tours of the environmental programs such as beekeeping, worm compost, sustainable agriculture, aquaponics, vegetable gardens, Zero Waste, protecting the ridgeway hawk, turtle conservation, and of the Indigenous Eyes Ecological Park and Reserve -lagoons where you can swim with turtles- included when staying at the Westin and horseback riding. At the Oscar De La Renta Tennis Center you can play tennis. We inlclude all day shuttles to the Puntacana Village where you can find different restaurants and to Bluemall Puntacana. And there are also 7 restaurants at the resort to choose from.

I come to the Westin at least once a year for work and this cigar and rum bar is the highlight of this hotel for me. Delicious rums, exquisire cigars for those that smoke, and cozy, sanctuary-like ambience providing a real escape from the day. The main man in there, Victor, is excellent! Very knowledgeable about the products on offer and super attentive to his clients. Can't wait for my next visit!

Don Queco Cigar Bar and Victor really made my trip complete. Victor was attentive, helpful, friendly and just a wonderful person to be around. The service around the resort is slow and we were quite upset, until we found Victor. Victor offered the best service I have ever had at any restaurant or hotel. I cannot say enough about Victor and the comfortable atmosphere he creates in the Cigar Bar. He offers fantastic recommendations and makes the best drinks. Even if I don't stay at the Westin again, I will certainly return to Don Queco to see Victor again!

Don't even bother reading any review! This is THE place to come and have a nice cigar some drinks and be VERY well served by Carmencita and Victor Period!
Do I have to write more? No, this is as good as it gets.... I have stated in the hotel review that if it was not for this place we would have changed the hotel for this years trip!!! The hotel has decreased in service quality, so we are considering going elsewhere.... but this place for our group is a magnet!!!!

Carmencita, Victor, I wish I had people like you working with us period! What a service... Impeccable, professional, spotless!!! You make this hotel stand out from many others...
I don't mean to say that service as a whole is good in Dominican Republic, but this cigar lounge goes that extra mile ALL THE TIME!!! this has been out third year in a row and it simply gets better every time!!!

Victor is the reason why i'm going to the Cigar Bar each night Im here. Victor was extremely helpful, kind and knowledgeable. I can tell Victor genuinely cared about my experience as he exceeded my expectations. Good vibes and good times.

Next to the hotel lobby there is this classy bar, decorated in classical US premium lounge style, but with a walk in humidor with an impressive range of cigars; assistance from the lady running it was so helpful she proved to be a true cigar aficionado; but the best was yet to come she also suggested an excellent premium rum. Back in the US you would be paying well over $100 for that quality of drink and cigar, but because she suggested local premium brands not known internationally the bill was $25, nice.
As room for improvement, the food menu was sub average, a pity.

Un excelente lounge, quizás el segundo mejor de la Rep. Dominicana.
