Hermosas cascadas

Great hike!
Walked all the way with our guide Wayne. Great education of the local Flora. Surprised the many flowers and plants have medicinal applications. The falls were flowing well despite not much rain. would definitely take the grand kids next time.

Lovely falls and a reasonable hike!
Not a walk for the elderly or infirm - the stick they give you at the beginning can come in useful during the downhill bits - a good idea to go reasonably early in the day as it gets quite hot and steamy, and I would imagine quite busy. We had a young guide who we had to pay separately - not sure he was needed as the route was quite easy to follow. The falls themselves are lovely - again we were lucky that not many people were there - it looks as though it may not be so pretty with lots of 'fall jumpers' and swimmers there!

Wonderful half-day excursion

This is a very peaceful trek and the pictures really don’t do it justice. Trainers and mosquito repellent are essential. And take the walking stick - it really will help you find your balance. I’m in my 20s and I’m glad I had the stick!

We went as a group of seven, with a range of abilities and fitness. It took about 45 minutes there, and 45 mins back (our guide was very keen for us to go slowly and carefully). Most of the way there is downhill, but the humidity will mean you’ll still want to take a dip.

Only a couple of things let this place down. When we got to the falls, I kept being harassed by a local ‘waterfall jumper’ while I was trying to get changed out of my swimwear.

The second thing was the hostility from the local café owner on our way back. The rain had really begun to pour and we asked if we could shelter inside, or outside under the umbrellas, for just a few minutes until it passed (there was no one else there or around). We would have happily bought a drink too but the owner said no because we had ‘paid our entrance fee to other people’. As a group, we had arranged this tour via our taxi driver, and we had no idea there was more than one entrance point. She was so rude and put a bit of a bitter twist on the experience.

So to round up, fantastic scenery, falls and nature. It’s a fun challenge, and I would come back again...but next time I’ll be taking a raincoat!

Best Rain Forest Hike Ever...
The Seven Sisters waterfall is located at the Grand Etang National Park and arguably one of the most interesting adventures at the park. We explored the park and hiked about 3 out of the 7 waterfalls in half a day. The staff and people at the park were friendly and hospitable.

I love that every corner was picturesque and we were literally in the heart of pure nature. Be sure to bring a camera to capture nature in all its glory and don't forget your water shoes, swimsuits, and sunscreen!

Give yourself a full day to take in all the park and Seven Sisters waterfalls have to offer and don't forget to enjoy some dancing with the street performers!

Natura incontaminata

Bellissimo ammirare la natura incontaminata di questa giungla, prima di raggiungere la paradisiaca spiaggia.. abbiamo fatto questo piccolo grande tour con un taxi locale pagando 25 euro a persona.

Great trip to seven sisters

Had “Tarin” for our tour guide. He was excellent showed us all the different vegetation along the hike. About 1 mile each way and pretty severe terrain so wear good shoes. Rains most very day so the path is always pretty slick and muddy. Falls are wonderful and water is cold.

Some effort to get there but worth it
Make sure you have some decent footwear as the ground can be muddy. Walking poles a great help to need a sense of adventure plus reasonable level of fitness to see the top falls.

Not what I expected

Went to visit the 7 sisters waterfalls as a part of a guided tour , when in fact what all we got to see was 2 sisters ,eg 2 waterfalls , very small , and the trek was there and back was very dangerous , not suitable for short people or elderly.

Nice trek

We picked up a local guide on our walk in. It took us to all falls and was very helpful and informative. The trail was arduous at times and in some disrepair but the effort is worth it. Saw monkeys on the way as well.
