Arguably one of the best beaches in the Caribbean. Every part of this beach that my wife and I had to privilege of taking a swim at, was well enjoyed. The water was calm, very clear, and allowed for an enjoyable swim.

We were very pleasantly surprised to find this beach so clean, so quiet despite its proximity to hotels, but along the more than 1 km of clean sand we probably saw at most 20 people on the beach or in the water. Wonderful

We was on a short tour around the island and after visiting this green tropical country we was taken to this beautiful and relaxing beach which was a short drive from our cruise ship. We hired sun beds & umbrella which were cheap in which we had cold drinks brought to us in a iced cool box for a good price. The sand and sea was lovely which added to a relaxing few hours in the Caribbean sunshine.

Very nice beach. We came in on a cruise and someone suggested taking the water taxi from the port to the beach. It’s only about 15 min ride. They were asking for $5 usd per person.
There is a ride sharing app called Haylup and we tried it on the way back. It was actually much cheaper (we have 5 in our family) than the water taxi. It took a little longer cause there was traffic but I preferred it.
Grand Anse beach is about as nice as you can get. Nice sand, beautiful water.
You can snorkel there but not much to see.
Lots of trees for shade.
There’s a mall and shops about 7-8 blocks away if you want to go for a walk.

Dieser Sandstrand hat seinen Namen verdient, es ist wirklich viel weicher Sand unter den Füßen zu spüren und man kann die lange Strecke ohne irgendwelche Hotelabsperrungen entlang gehen. Am Ende gibt es auch öffentliche Restaurants, sonst sind mehr abgeschottete Hotels an der Seite. In der Mitte des Strandes startet das Boot zum unterirdischen Skulpturenpark.

This was our first port on MSC Seaside and what a beautiful island to visit! Arrived at around 8.30/8.45am and the beach was very quiet.
After looking at other reviews on here we decided to go to this beach and took a water taxi which we took form the main port. This was $10 return (US $) and took about 5 minutes to cross.
On reaching the beach we were greeted by many local beach workers (not hounded) we decided to go to the left of the jetty and booked 2 sunbeds with a parasol and table for $25 for the full day.
Rose then served us drinks and food (bucket of 6 beers, lemonade, sandwich, fries and chicken wings oh and 2 rum punch 😂 cost a total of $60)
Overall a fabulous day, not overly expensive and the locals cannot do enough!

We arrived by a water taxi and the beach was beautiful we hired Sunbeds between us all at $10 each. Perfect.
However we had a server called flash (avoid him) at first he was lovely. Told us he would do 12 beats for $25 we got 3 buckets through the day to share between us all. As we were leaving he tried saying we had 5 buckets he got very aggressive. But we stuck to our guns but then he said he never said $25 he said $36. He was horrible. In the end we paid for 3 at $36 as he was really nasty.
Please use other servers. One said he does it all the time. Apart from him it’s well worth a visit. We enjoyed our day.
Once back on the boat we heard Flash had done this to a few groups that day.

Nice beach. More protected than those to the south. A pair of chairs with umbrellas will run you $20. Snorkelling was okay (better on the north side near the boat area). Saw a spotted eagle ray, a spotted eel and a couple of lobsters under the rocks. Unfortunately lots of garbage in the water. Ended up taking my equipment bag with me and filled it up a few times with bottles, cans, plastic and other debris. Definitely left it in better shape than when we got there but if you see something that doesn’t belong in the ocean please pick it up. Take the local bus to get here.

Great day! We took a water taxi to the beach, I think it was five dollars each way. We got there early and had our pick of lounge chairs, which were ten dollars each and another ten for the umbrella .plentiful of bars and food service. Spice market with lots of venders. T shirts, dresses and all of the usual things.

Can anyone give me idea on the cost of a taxi from the cruise terminal please? Do they charge per person or per ride?

A taxi ride from the cruise terminal or airport to Grand Anse beach is around EC$50 or US$25-30. The charge is per car, not per parrenger.
Fares are set by the local government and when cruise ships come in, there is an official despatcher on duty to whom you can turn for advice.
Has the seaweed issue affected Grand Anse? Anything expected over July / August?

When we travelled in April, there was no seaweed. The beach was gorgeous and surprisingly quiet. I recemmend looking up the cruise ship schedule and go to Grand Anse when a ship is NOT in port. It is beautiful. You'll love it.

Yes!-take your snorkel gear! Grand anse does not have the best snorkeling in relation to other areas of Grenada, but the water is beautifully clear and aqua and it's fun to swim the length of the beach. In front of Savvy's there are artificial reefs to swim to. Then there is the statue park-not grand anse, but you can take a boat there from grand anse. Try snorkeling at Magazine beach-little rougher water but more to see.

Not sure of Water Táxi, however, I took an regular taxi with USD 5,00 from the Cruise Port to the beach and took approx. 10ms to get there.
