Coming to Jamaica during a pandemic was a bit scary but all I can say about the experience was “wow!” From the precautions taken at the airport to the ones at Moon Palace, thorough sanitizing of hands, cell phones & the use of masks... we felt extremely safe. The moon palace staff was over the top professional, helpful and friendly. Oneish, our exceptional waiter at Momo, Sabrina, the dancing waitress and Shaneika, our wonderful pool waitress made our experience even better!! The resort was spotless, the food in all the restaurants was great, pool and beach areas beautifully maintained. The resort is smaller in comparison to Cancun, but it made no difference to us, actually preferring the ability to walk to all area versus waiting on golf carts as in Cancun. VERY pleased with this experience and will definitely be back!!!!

No hot water, food is substandard and portions small, elevators work intermittently, housekeeping steals from your personal belongings, rooms are small, facilities are small, beach and pools, entertainment is terrible

I have worked out everyday with the best Fitness instructor Johnoy. Our family have already taken his spinning class, aqua aerobics class, condition training class, Tabata class and absolute abs class! We are having so much fun at this resort. Jamaica’s moon palace resort customer service is awesome, the food is full of variety. I give it a 5 star for this all inclusive resort, abd all amenities they offer and what a beautiful place!

Came to Jamaica for the first time three weeks ago and stayed at the Moon Palace Jamaica Grande. Actually, I was one of the family members who wanted to stay somewhere else but was convinced to stay at Moon Palace which was in the center of Ocho Rios and thus close to all the activities. It was a great decision as everything from the ambiance to the staff was just first class. I must however say that in addition to our stay at Moon Palace we also had an incredible experience at the new Fishing Village in Ocho Rios which we couldn't get enough of. There was a restaurant in particular, Tropical Buzz, the one on the downstairs and the only one with glass doors, that I swear have the best lobster and shrimp in the world...this is not an exaggeration. We just couldn't get enough of it and we definitely will be back to get some of Chef Donald's culinary delights. A must visit...a must see...you wont regret it.

I suggest the gulf coast of Alabama and Florida. Solid coral beach with huge chunks. Very uncomfortable and the food was under cooked.

The beach is small, and the water you are meant to stay in (inside the white buoy line, for liability purposes) is rather limited. Drinks are good and plentiful, but you often have to get them for yourself (despite the bounty of staff, who frequently walk by picking up used glasses, but getting a drink or something from the snack menu is very hit or miss).
Kayaks and other toys are available, and chairs and towels were plentiful. Snorkeling is possible, though no snorkel equipment is available to borrow or rent. Do wear SHOES in the water: there are of course rocks and some spiny sea urchins, but the TRASH underwater is not to be believed. You don't need to venture far from shore to stumble into shocking amounts of garbage of all sorts (often identifiable as coming from the resort itself).

We relaxed next to the pool, and one of the female workers was very friendly and helpful! Her name is Khaleel and she has a very positive energy. She brightened our day for real.

First of all, I will say the resort itself is nice. The rooms were spacious and clean. The service is hit or miss, some servers acted as if we were bothering them when we needed something. If you tip, which all-inclusives usually don't allow, you get better service. Restaurants were an hour wait for several nights out of our stay. One evening after waiting an hour the hostess asked if we would wait an additional hour!! Beach chairs are a joke, people reserve chairs as early as 5am! My husband would get up early each morning so we could have hopes of being able to sit in a chair versus the sand. Resort credits are another way for the resort to make money. Service fees were very expensive! You are better off booking with a company off site. All-inclusives usually pamper you and go out of their way to make your vacation relaxing. Moon Palace made us work hard for our vacation, learn from our mistake, go to BEACHES!! We will never stay at a Palace Resort again!

Very nice beach, on one side, and the other side where the catamarans are, and the kayaks, it is a little rocky.

The beach is much smaller than the pictures make it look. It has sand and the chairs, two rows are all it can handle, and it has a lot of stones. Wading out into the water you can go very far out before the water is up to your knees. NO waves to speak of, which might be nice for very small children. I would compare it to a lake front more than a beach. You can see the cruise ships dock right across the bay, very close to the beach. You can not surf but kayaking is available as well as the water tricycles. Be aware, this is not an ocean beach as you normally would think of, it is a place where yuo can get incredible sunset pictures. Service from the resort staff is just okay bring drinks and food. Tipping goes a long way to faster service and they deserve the tips. For most of the day it is better to stay at the pool.

How to get cheapest all inclusive Holliday at the moon palace as it as gone so exspensive now than when it was Jamaica grand

Yes, they are included with the resort stay.
We tipped them a $1 per person every time we took the ride. They were so appreciative of the tips.

Did we have to be a guest from this hotel to have access to this beach
or anyone can go ?
