We were keen to add Jamaica to our list of golf courses we have played around the world. The club was very relaxed and arranged rental clubs for my wife and myself, together with a buggy and caddy. This may not be the best course we have ever played but the location made it memorable.
The course was challenging and benefited from heavy rainfall on the day before we played.

I had free green fees since I was staying at the Jewel Paradise Cove just a mile or two away. Free shuttle from JPC at 7,8, & 9 every day. I brought my clubs and walked thus I was only out the $20 caddie fee and then the tip I gave my caddie which was $30 a round. I had Frankie as my caddie and then asked for him each subsequent day. On my first two rounds he pulled the 161 out of 163 right clubs. I turned him down twice and once he was right. Frankie was really helpful in the chipping game and of course he knew the green perfectly. I was playing solo so I had Frankie play the back nine with me each day and we gambled a bit for fun -- match play. First week of January 2020 and the course was very green, no brown, the greens and fairways were cut and there were an army of workers working the course from Sunday-Tuesday.

Arrived to very nonfriendly pro shop. Gofl course was in terrible shape. So bad you could not tell whee fairways began and rough ended! Rough in areas was 8 inches deep. The greens were cut but on a couple pins were not replaced and on others pins were in crooked. Caddies were terrible. Had two for three people.
My caddy walked off the course on the ninth hole and didn't come back til after we left the green. We had to tend the pin on several occasions as the caddies were off on their own smoking pot. It was raining and we stopped after nine holes for more beer and fresh towels and they would not give us fresh towels and we were probably the only ones on the course! STAY AWAY ! IT was a fun course 5 years ago and I wanted to go back and play it. HUGE mistake. Never again!

Stayed at Jewel Paradise Cove and played one round here. The staff were superb which makes this course a very good rating rather than an average rating. Front desk staff and 19th hole, on course beverage service were great. I had Frankie caddy for me. We walked on a Thursday morning and had the whole course to ourselves. The course is very weather dependent. Early November is fairly dry so the fairways were a bit stressed. Tee boxes showed it too. Greens were sometimes burnt brown but completely intact and rolled true and fast. If you are used to playing any of America’s top 100 courses you will be disappointed here. However, if you know average munies this will be a fun day of golf. I love golf and all golf is good golf, some courses are just better than others. If you are in the neighborhood you should play here and ask for Frankie as your caddy. Here’s to more golf and less strokes!

Went here an played a fun 18 with friends. A caddie is required and I have never played with a caddie before. I enjoyed it immensely and appreciated being able to enjoy my friends and my beer and cigar without having to choose what club to use. The caddie's were on it after watching you play the first 2 holes. We rented quality clubs and just had fun.

I have golfed here two years in a row and had a great time. The course tends to be dry and hard for obvious reasons and it lends to a different golf experience. I had a great caddie who was native to the area and knew everything about the course and the surrounding homes/ people. My caddie, Clinton Coore also provided me with some great coaching. Highly reccomend visiting Runaway Bay Golf Club.

Had a round that cost me $140 , this included clubs, buggy and caddie. Fairways bare and parched. Greens ok but caddies desperate for tips. I wouldn't play there again.

Have golfed there for 5 years and it always is great. We have had the same caddy Lenny. His knowledge of the course and instructions has helped my wife to really enjoy golf. Lenny takes care of our clubs for the two weeks each year.Thanks also to Carl for the shuttle back and forth. Looking forward to the next time!

We stayed at the Jewel Paradise Cove resort, so this course is just 1-mile away on the main highway. Club house is very clean and well appointed. Satff is friendly and the caddies are great...shout out to Norris !! Tees and greens awere very good, fiarways and dray and hard. Rental clubs are new Titleist sets. Course is long...use the big stick ! Evene though greens fees are 'free' from teh resort....you'll spend at least $100 after club rental, cart, caddie, and tipping the cab and the caddie. Well worth it though !

Cart , and 18 with clubs was 100.00 . They require a caddy for additional 20.00 plus whatever you tip . We were guests @Bahia and this was price .

Thank you for your question. Carts are not mandatory and you may choose to walk the round. Caddy is mandatory whether you are walking or taking a cart.
If you are walking 18 holes the cost is US$20.00 per person or US$15.00 per person for 9.
If you are taking a cart the cost is US$65.00 ( US$35 for cart and US$30 for caddy) or US$45.00 for 9 holes ( US$25 for cart and US$20) for caddy).
Please be mindful that the caddy fee is collected in cash (US or JMD) only.
