这是我们巡航之旅时最近的停靠港。这里有很多旧日时光的魅力和历史。我们参加了跟团徒步之旅。你会看到许多小商店和当地的餐馆。你知道自己进入了一个旅游陷阱，因为船只就停靠在附近，你周围的大多数人都是游船上的游客，或者是住在当地酒店的游客。我们看了许多历史景点，包括炮台(值得爬上陡峭的街道台阶看海)、当地人很友好。我们跟这团队参观的商店很一般，但是在游览之后，我独自走远了一点，发现了一些远离旅游区的好商店。虽然这些店并不容易找到，而且天气真的非常热，但是从当地人的角度而不是游客的角度去体验旧圣胡安是值得的。

很棒的体验，顾客服务和美味的食物!从到达的那一刻起，我们就在门口受到了非常友好、热情、真诚和专业的欢迎。我们的服务员丹尼尔对细节的关注无懈可击，他的知识非常渊博，还提供菜单方面的信息。他的建议很中肯。是的，我们在那里感觉很好!!可口的食物，出色的员工，很棒的客户服务!一定会回来的!

这是我们第二次来旧圣胡安。第一次，我们参加了美食之旅，这一次，我们自己来这里步行游览。这座城市很适合步行，但是也会走过一些小山坡。我总是感觉很安全，尽管和其他大城市一样，街上也会有一些乞讨的人。在圣胡安打优步车很方便。如果你想省钱的话，可以不打出租车，打优步车，但是理解语言可能是一个障碍（如果你不会说西班牙语的话）。这里有很多不错的餐厅可以去用餐！也有许多商店，有当地的旅游店，也有夫妻店，连锁服装店，从游船珠宝到高档服装应有尽有。而且这里也很有历史。可以看看猫途鹰点评网站，好好享受你的旅行。我们最喜欢的购物点是Calle Foraleeza。哪怕只是鲜艳的色彩都足以让你此次旅行很美好。祝你玩得开心。

我们在旧圣胡安玩得很开心。很喜欢这里用蓝色砖块砌成的街道，到处都是隐藏的珍宝。我们还去San Juan Frappes餐厅喝了杯莫吉托。

很棒的历史感。有许多提供当地特色菜肴的漂亮的餐厅。用优步打车或者走路很容易到达。

花几个小时，在旧圣胡安散散步。这里的食物很好，还是个不错的购物地点，位置便捷。我真希望我们有提前多做一些调查，能让我们看到所有我们错过的精彩景点。

Hello- when we travel we like to pick up small original water colors as a remembrence of where we have been. Any suggestions in Old San Juan- street market or other areas where we may find someone who does this? Thanks in advance.

Considering a trip to Old San Juan. Don't, however, was to mobbed by cruise ship hordes. Is one part of Old San Juan better to keep as far away from that as possible?

Hi, as others already mentioned, cruise ships have not yet returned. However, when international return travel to the US required a negative test starting back in January (a requirement not applicable to US territories), tourism in San Juan skyrocketed. There are now lines for restaurants that have never seen a line before. Last weekend, there were enough tourists walking the streets of Old San Juan that you'd think at least 3 ships were in town, when in fact not a single ship was docked. I believe only one or two docked since Covid, and those may have been trial runs. Old San Juan is small, so whether tourists fly in or come off the ship, there really is no escaping them - unless you walk the few streets that are purely residential. Best bet is to make this your first thing you do after breakfast, which also keeps you out of the mid day sun. But avoiding tourists in any place in San Juan these days is virtually impossible. Good for the businesses, but if you are local without a tourist business, you are hoping for the good old days to return when more folks went to Mexico and the Dominican Republic rather than here.

Travel guidelines say only tourists staying “in the area” of Old San Juan can enter the area… what does that mean? If I stay at a resort on the beach, will I be forbidden to enter the OSJ neighborhood? Are they checking your hotel key or something?

We walked right in. I’ve been there 3 different times. There’s no checkpoint or anything like that. Just wear a mask in stores and restaurants.

We've never been to San Juan Puerto Rico and we are going there next month. Any suggestions on places to eat and places to see? How about transportation? Do they have uber or lyft? Is it cheaper to use the taxi going to the Marriot hotel or the take the shuttle bus?

There are activities here on trip advisor you can plan. I suggest snorkeling, LED kayaking was so much fun at night! OLD SAN JUAN IS A MUST VISIT! While out there eat and drink at Cinema Bar or something like that. But you wont miss it!! So good!! They have uber for sure they will take you anywhere you have to go. If your hotel have shuttle take that!! Other call a uber fast amd convenient!! Have a good trip!!
