I loved going to the El Yunque Forest. The beaches and the forts were great. The Sheraton and Old San Juan was close to a lot of restaurants and stores.

This are of San Juan is the busy area with outdoor bars and restaurants. There are live music and DJs playing music as you stroll the area. We stopped for dinner and drinks and enjoyed live music outside.

Locals usually refer to SoFo as a part of Fortaleza Street in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. There are many Restaurants in this Area and many other Restaurants very close in Old San Juan Area. From small, local food joints to expensive Chef supervised Restaurants. Fortaleza Street also have shops and more shops, etc. in a Historic Area that is worth strolling around.
Usually early in December the Fortaleza Street is closed for cars and a Festival takes place with music, show's and specially food where you can taste treats from Restaurants in the Area. Dates can be seen in Local Newspapers or Internet but you can be lucky if you are here at the time. It can be crowded and traffic jams are expected during the 3 day festival.

Strolling through this food festival made for a great evening. You can carry your alcoholic drinks on the street as you check out all the food options, live music, and social scene. Buskers entertained, and the people watching is great.

South Fortaleza street has a great variety of restaurants. These, during SoFo, offer some of their light plates or specials for the day in a casual atmosphere. A great way to experience a taste of their flavors. Our favorite this year, Dragonflys noodles.

We had no idea this event would be going on during our trip - amazing surprise! We heard great music, danced some salsa and drank rum with the 'president' of Columbia and his tennis team! We met so many wonderful people the first night, we couldn't help but go back every night! Great experience - great surprise!

Una de las mejores calles del viejo San Juan, con muchos restaurantes en un paisaje de casas coloniales, muy bien mantenidas. Por casualidad llegue a visitar San Juan en en mismo fin de semana que el evento culinario anual de SOFO... Todos los restaurantes de la calle fortaleza sacan sus mesas a la calle y ofrecen sus comidas en un ambiente más distendido, con música en vivo, y mucha gente

If you crave for ambiance, food diversity and a variety of music. Visit Sofo Culinary Fest. Around 40 different Restaurants, about 5 music bands, and many local arts and crafts.
