What a great day, we were picked up by Sunshine, she is amazing, at the port and had a great drive to the zip lining. Don't think I will spell his name correctly, but Lyndee took great photos for us with our cell phone. The whole staff is amazing. I would highly recommend.

Остановились на смотровой площадке по пути из аэропорта . Приятный 20-минутный отдых после перелета примерно на полпути до отеля. Красивый вид! Наш водитель рассказал нам про деревню, находящуюся внизу, у залива. На смотровой площадке находится бар, где можно перекусить или выпить. Пиво Piton стоит $6.

I had the opportunity to visit the district of Dennery twice in the past two weeks. The first time was when I stopped at the viewing point with a group of my students on a field trip with them. The second was just a few days ago. A friend and I were in search of the Sault Waterfall, which I had read was near the Tree Top Adventure (Ziplining) attraction. So we stopped there first, just to use the restroom and take in the atmosphere. Everyone was quite amiable and allowed us to walk around the grounds and take pictures. Then we were told that the falls were just a five-minute drive away.
We did get a little lost since we went too far up the road. There was no sign indicating the trail of the waterfall, other than a small plywood building with a sign condoning leaving garbage behind. Eventually we made our way to the falls, which was roughly a ten-minute descent, then a short river crossing, then the falls themselves. It was quite a site to see, although the cascade did not appear as strong as it had in pictures that I had seen online. The water was cold but once I got under the cascade I quickly got used to it. Was a nice experience nevertheless.

We read about Dennery Falls before coming to St. Lucia. Everyone said it was the most beautiful on island which is saying quite a bit! If you are adventurous and won't let the prospect of snakes deter you, you will be rewarded. The falls are less than a five min walk from the road. we were alone when we went as a group was just leaving. The water comes down in a delicate spray on one side and a little more forceful on the other. The water comes from atop a huge boulder that was spit from the earth millennia ago and wedged on top of a hill. Being at Dennery makes you see how the earth formed. If I could recommend ONE falls to go to, this would be it. We went to ten. Don't miss it!!

It is not a destination but if you are passing by take the time to enjoy the scenery both from in town and from the overlook.

Zu empfehlen im Zeitversatz zu den Führungen der Kreuzfahrerschiffe. Zum Wasserfall führt ein schöner Pfad durch den Regenwald. Neben dem Ort mit Wasserfall und See kann man am Tümpel am Eingang und kleinen Regenwaldcafe auch seine Füsse von Fischen reinigen lassen. Das sit das wie im Spa für "Große". Der Cafe ist selbst hergestellt. Um hier anzukommen, muß man ein Portion "Loslassen" mitbringen.

We drove here To check out The East Coast.
It is a very “local” village. We saw no other tourists. We couldn’t see any open bars, so grabbed a drink from a shop. We walked along The waterfront where we found a local market selling their catch of The day.
It was lively with boats coming in And out, lots of men cleaning And preparing what they caught. It was about 4pm.
We brought a decent amount for $20EC To grill on The BBQ that night.
It is a real shame that The beach has been swamped with seaweed, And The water was black.
But do support this village if you are planning a bbq, they were very welcoming.

Disappointed... advertised as having entertainment for children from 4pm... this wasn't the case for our visit... arrived with a group of 11 at about 6.45pm to find there wasn't really anything going on... just a few stalls selling BBQ'd fish... the stall we bought from the fish was cold... other stalls did have warm cooked fish which others in our group had... fish and salad was good and worth the money... there was very few people there so no atmosphere...

We were primarily attracted to Dennery by the Saturday Night Fish Fry, which is described as being more family friendly and less raucous than the Friday night parties. When we arrived, there was literally one person and she offered 2 types of fish, fish gut stew, and liquor. There was no one eating. This was about 6pm in the evening (signs said the event began at 4pm). Now I confess, the fish - which was served whole - was absolutely delicious, probably the best I've ever had. But there definitely wasn't a big gathering. This was in May, so it's possible they only attract decent crowds during peak season.
Otherwise, as people noted, it's a slightly run down fishing village. There are some beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean. There is also the Dennery waterfall, which is one of the few attractions that did not require an entrance fee and guide. That was ok, though again, we were there in May which was the end of dry season, so it may be more impressive during rainy season (however, you have to ford the river to get to it, so it may be difficult to reach if the water is too high). The waterfall is located about 15-20 minutes down a back road, shortly after the ziplining site.
