We made 2 great dives. First location was caribe cargo. A nice wreck, surrounded by lots of stingrays en a reef shark.
Second dive was on mikes maze. Great diversity in coral. At the end of the dive a close encounter with a reef shark.
The guide was great, the captain was great.
Would recommend this divecenter to everybody!

We had a private 2 tank dive with Leroy. The day didn’t start well because we got lost in the harbor so we were late for the dive.....but no worries Leroy got us a captain and all our gear and off we went to two fantastic dive sites . We saw everything, lobsters, trumpet fish, angle fish, sharks, eels, trigger fish eat....it was a fantastic aquarium!!!!!
Leroy was fantastic!!! He was friendly, confident and fun to be with. I would highly recommend him, you’ll have a great safe fun dive!

I made a reservation 2 months in advance for two divers for a 2-tank afternoon. Only 5 days before the reservation -- and only after I had contacted them to confirm -- did they tell me that they were cancelling because they had booked another conflicting party. Terrible. I had paid a 50% deposit 2 months in advance.

I just got certified yesterday and looked into booking another excursion at this port. Walked a very short distance off the ship to a pier where their boat was waiting. A short transport to the shop. Gear was assigned quickly and paperwork ready as well. Leroy was our dive master. Had a small group of 7 so we got ready quickly and on our way to the 1st dive sight. A wreck and reef. Cool wreck, a small black tip shark, nurse shark, Hawksbill season turtle, big lobster, fish & coral everywhere.
2nd site was a large reef dive called THE MAZE. It was great as well. Leroy took us all around the reef with cool layered levels, up & over into plunging coral shelfs with plenty of hiding places holding all sorts of marine life.
I’m a Very new diver, but others on the boat said this was one of the best cruise ship dives they have done with such a variety of things.
All gear was included or you could use your own. I used their gear and no issues. Water avail on the boat, bring own snacks if needed.
I need to now invest in a GoPro because I foresee myself diving more often now.

If you want a dive shop that cares about diver's having a great dive this is your place. the dives where great not to mention lots of fish,nice reef with swim throughs,turtles,sharks. But most of all the dive crew really made the dives If your diving in St.Maarten this is the dive shop for you.You won't be disappointed.

My boyfriend and I got our certification dives with Octopus Diving a few weeks ago. I was actually worried going into them, but the SCUBA instructor Leroy was very knowledgeable and made me feel very at ease with diving. The captain, Andrew, was also very nice and very helpful. We saw a sunken submarine, lobsters, tons of fish, and a few sharks. I sincerely hope other captains and SCUBA masters will be as great as these two were!

Diving in Philipsburg was like old home week. My dive master (Leroy) and boat captain (Andrew) have been with me many times over the past several years. This visit I did eight dives with them and had a blast every time. Leroy is extremely personable, and was very good teaching the new students who happened to be on some of my dives. I was afforded the leeway on the dives commensurate with my experience which made it even more enjoyable. I was able to "safely" pet sting rays, Nurse Sharks, lobsters and even a Cow Fish (no animal was harmed during these interactions). Our surface interval times were spent talking with Captain Andrew about life on the sea; a new twist on my diving experiences. We did coral swim throughs, wreck penetration, drift dive, and great reef observations. Super time!!! See you in 2019.

No sorry, we aren't allowed to operate in those waters. Best place in Anguilla is Shoal Bay Scuba.

Yes the Discover Scuba dive is a great way to try scuba diving in a safe controlled environment.
After a 30-40 minute briefing on the basics of Scuba Diving we get you kitted up and jump into a beautiful calm bay with awesome Marine Life in the French Marine reserve for a 40-50 minute relaxing dive and if you really enjoy it, why not get certified with us!

Probably being over cautious but would like to know how other people have paid the deposit when booking dives. Have been asked to email my credit card details. Not the usual procedure I'm used to.
Apologies to Angie if this is the norm. Just doesn't seem very secure.

We do have a secure method of leaving a deposit, just call Angie with a cerdit card and she can immediately take the deposit over the phone.
Its safe, secure and even your card details won't be written down.

We dove out of both locations, and they were both great but very different. Loved the reefs on the French side, great corals and lots of turtles and reef fish. The Dutch side was equally as good, but not reefs, wrecks. We saw lots of sharks there and HUGE lobster. Enjoy!

We did most of our snorkeling in the afternoon as the weather was generally calm and the light was more directly overhead so you can see better and further down. Around St. Martin/Sint Maarten the winds are relatively constant. Any cove on the east (Caribbean) side will be calmer regardless of time of day. Water temperature does not vary much over the year, nor does the daily air temperature. We went in August and with Diving used a wet suit but with snorkeling a skin suit or rash guards were all we needed. Enjoy your snorkeling, its beautiful there. There is good diving in Grand Case off the beaches.
