A must stop if you charter in the BVI. Water is warm and unbelievably gorgeous. The beaches are incredible with no crowds. Great place to find the beach bar at the end of the world.

This island was beautiful! The beaches are prestige, the restaurants and bars are friendly and serve great drinks and delicious food. We snorkeled her as well and was not disappointed with beautiful reefs and tropical fish. We had a great time and can’t wait to go back!

The best trip every to Anegada! Stayed at Anegada Beach Club and they were wonderful! Trip with Sherwins Sea Adventures was the best ever and fabulous conch ceviche! Cannot wait to go back!

Anegada is a very laid back island, located off the beaten path, about 14 miles from Virgin Gorda. Beautiful beaches on the north shore. People are very friendly. Several great restaurants. No real night life. Ferry goes from Tortola to Anegada 3 days per week. Small airport. Most people arrive on either the ferry, or by chartered boat. Best to get around the island by either taxi, or by renting either a car, or a moped. Great for a quiet, relaxing vacation.

We have visited the BVI on Charter 4 times before and this island was listed as off limits. The 12-mile trip is an easy one and the channel is well marked. Many turtles spotted in the harbor and Tarpon in the underwater lights. Islend itself was not impressive.

Great hospitality, great food was had at a restaurant 10 minutes from the dock. A great sail, ultimately.

We sailed to Anagada and visited Cow Wreck Beach and Anagada Beach club. We pretty much had our own private beach to wade and enjoy the calm gentle waters. It was delightful!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
Horrible experience. The employee set me up with a moped. I DID NOT WRECK THE MOPED. I had no injuries yet she insisted we pay for repairs for a scratch that was old or fake. In order to move on we had to settle on $200. Again, no scratches. BVI police came, never interviewed me and sided with the moped owner as they were smiling and laughing together behind closed doors,

Husband wants to bonefish for two days. Would you suggest staying on Anegada or some other island that features snorkeling ? We are unfamiliar with the BVIs How does one get to Anegada?

My husband and I will be in Tortola the end of September on a cruise. I was wondering if there is a water taxi to Anegada Island?

There is a ferry that goes to Anegada three times a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday and if you are lucky also Sunday. You can check online beforehand on the departure and arrival times.

If you're not able to get to Anegada because you're on a cruise ship, check out Jost Van Dyke instead. Great Harbour and White Bay are awesome and authentic spots to visit. Get a taxi to the West End Ferry Dock and check out New Horizon Ferry.
The only way you can get to Anegada is from a ferry from VG which isn't always running. It's a pretty long ride from VG, even further from Road Town.

Not really sure because we have our own sail boat that we keep in Tortola but you are totally right up want to visit Jost Can Dyke, especially, and Vurgin Girda. I suggest visiting Diamond Cay on Jost and checking out the Bubbly Baths. Aldo the Baths on Virgin Gorda.

Do the restaurants take credit cards on Anegada?
Also we are on a bare boat, whats the best place to catch a mooring or anchor?
I know there are only two spots to go. Is one better than the other for a bareboat?
Is there a marina there as well for an overnighter?

We ate at Potter's by the Sea and they took credit cards.
We took a mooring in the cove by Potter's by the Sea (Setting Point) and stayed the night.
They have several places to buy supplies, but I am not sure if they have a real marina.
