A truly magical experience.
2019年9月
My visit to Montreal Gardens was a truly amazing experience one not to be missed, I felt as though I had entered the garden of Eden, the scenery was so beautiful with many varieties of tropical trees and flowers, the air up in the hills was pure, clean and fresh and you could feel a drop in the temperature. I have to admit that I was so excited by the wonders and beauty of this place that I got carried away taking countless photos before running out of memory.
Cant wait for my next trip to St Vincent from the UK , this will be No1 on my list of places to visit

One of a Kind Masterpiece
2020年2月
The Montreal Gardens are a true labor of love created by its gardener Timothy Vaughn. He has put his heart and soul and over twenty-five years of his life into designing and developing a magnificent botanical garden encompassing seven acres of lush hills and valleys less than an hour's drive outside of Kingstown, St. Vincent. The variety of plants and flowers is extraordinary. Although this hidden gem is off the beaten path, it is worth the adventure of navigating the backroads needed to get there. For a mere $5 you are treated to a beautiful place surrounded by the welcoming sea and steep tropical mountain tops. You will find yourself immersed in your very own Garden of Eden, with all of the stimulating sights, smells and sounds of nature. The Montreal Gardens are like none other. I recommend that you check them out. You won't be disappointed.

Peace, quiet, beauty
2020年2月
When I did a Google search for “things to do in St. Vincent and the Grenadines” Montreal Gardens came up and had excellent reviews on TripAdvisor. Those great reviews are well justified. Our visit was full of discovery, peace, and beauty. There were so many exotic blooms and fruits to see that we spent a leisurely two hours exploring the huge variety of amazing plants and trying to capture our experience in photographs. From paths that show off distant vistas of mountain peaks and sea, the trails meander through lush foliage and colorful flowers down to a rushing brook and clear natural pool. Covered pavilions provide rest spots and the gardens have clean restrooms near the parking lot. An added treat was our chat with Tim Vaughn, the owner/creator who put decades of love into these gardens. We had a rental car, so drove up, but I would recommend hiring a tour service or taxi in consideration of road conditions, lack of signage, and the speed and driving habits of the locals. If you are starting in Kingstown, be sure to have your driver stop at Belmont Overlook.

Most Amazing Gardens
2020年2月
Montreal Gardens was created approximately 25 years ago. I visited 10 years ago and had the opportunity to visit again now. It truly is spectacular to see the plant size and colors in these gardens. Make sure your camera is fully charged, you will want to photograph everything. If you have the opportunity while visiting St. Vincent it is a must to see!

Outstanding garden
2019年12月
Our family of five was on a cruise port-of- call during the 2019 Christmas holiday. The #1 item on the top of our list was the Montreal Gardens. We had a private tour and were taken directly to the Gardens. We were the only guests there at the time, making for an extra special experience. We walked all over the grounds, marveling at the beautiful flowers and plants. At the completion of our tour we met up with the creator of the gardens, Tim Vaughn. What a nice guy - friendly - very informed - passionate and a very special person. Thank you for sharing your time with us. I look forward to recommending to my clients!

So much beauty

So much beauty to see, truly a remote paradise. The owner spoke with us about his story, and the road here was full of interesting local things and views - from the smart vertical crops to the colorful villages, locals working the farms, and beautiful scenic points along the way. The gardens are very tasteful and peaceful to walk through, plus a great place to dress nice and take memorable photos.

Rain Forest Paradise
2020年1月
We went to the gardens as part of a cruise excursion off Celebrity Summit. There were two bus loads but the organisation of the tour was excellent. The owner greeted us, an Englishman who bought the property over 20 years ago. He has devoted many hours to enhancing the natural beauty of this remote place in a rain forest beneath a mountain, even building unobtrusive shelters for visitors that are caught exploring in frequent showers. It's such lush vegetation. There are toilets but no shops or cafe. The tour guide brought refreshments. A memorable experience well worth the long but spectacular ride from the port.

Beautiful and peaceful experience!
2020年1月
It was an hour ride from Vale area through the scenic Mesopotamia where they grow the islands food sources. It is nestled in an ancient volcano crater. Leaving the Mesopotamia Valley we ascend to 1,500' and Tim Bourne, the gracious owner, greeted me and set me loose to explore his "Garden of Eden". I was very lucky to have the place to myself. The trails through this rain forest go through many sections of carefully planted plants, bushes and trees with vast amounts of flowers from so many varieties. The ferns were very cool! One trail takes you to a small river with huge Tulip Trees all around. Steve leaves the fallen Tulips on the ground so you can hold these beautiful flowers. The Hummingbirds were very cool as well. I got to watch Tim do some pruning and cutting flowers for a local customer. In one large section he has a dozen rows of Anthuriums that he mulches with coconut husks. There must have a been close to a thousand plants. I garden myself with houses in Massachusetts and Florida so I felt like a child on Xmas morning. I would go back again! Also, I'd call ahead of time to plan your visit when cruise ship tourists are not there.

Wonderful way to spend a morning in an enchanting location
2019年12月
The gardens are owned and run by a botanical enthusiast - Timothy Bourne. They nestle at the head of the Mesopotamia valley with the stunning backdrop of volcanic peaks behind. The gardens are well tended in a manner sympathetic to the 'ordered jungle garden', full of interesting specimens with easily navigated walkways that are not slippery underfoot, ( so ideal for the more mature explorers - like myself)..Timothy Bourne is to put it mildly, ENTHUSIASTIC and knowledgeable, full of interesting anecdotes about the garden which he has developed from a tea plantation over the past 25 years. A wide diversity of species from an abundance of epiphytes to one or two non native specimens that he has imported to augment the natural topography .Delighted to report there are no souvenir stalls or 'tat' on sale just a pleasant garden / well kept jungle to wander through. The only drawback to the visit was that we were on an organised trip from the Azura cruise and so not enough time was allowed to the people with a strong botanical interest to explore fully. Suggest if you visit you take your own taxi so you can wander around at your leisure. Wholeheartedly recommend enduring the rather poor roads to reach this 'Gem of the Caribbean'. We would most definitely visit again.
