Great snorkeling. So good we went back a second time. We drove up the dirt track, which is fine as long as you don't meet an oncoming car. It's best to park at the look-out, 50 feet before the top. There is a tiny turn-around area at the very top, which is impossible to navigate if another car is already parked.

Take a fishing boat to Pirate's Bay. The road to go in is in really bad shape. You can walk into Pirate's Bay, but park your car in the town and walk from there to the beach. Great for snorkeling and swimming.

For someone who's been to Tobago "ah million times" I really don't know how I didn't find this gem sooner!. It can accessed via a short boat trip (cost us roughly $40TTD) and for the nature lovers, you can drive to a point and then take what seems as never ending steps downhill BUT you will be stunned at this awesome view, beautiful atmosphere, shinny pink sand and clear blue waters. Sunset projects a romantic setting. A must on your next Tobago visit, really beautiful!!!
Tips: carry light refreshments, walk back to the car exhausting but definitely worth it.

Long treck uphill if you're walking, but a short drive up a not good track by car. The views are worth it, before you even get to the steps and path. Beach had a few people there, but not many! Lots of sailboats in the harbor, and we watched those with dingy's coming into Charlottesville. Wonderful place, and worth the drive. Odd, though, that there is a fire hydrant in the middle of nowhere. There is a small turn around for cars, but be cautious!

Don’t really want to write this as don’t want the place ruined by too many people!!
Gorgeous beach with very few people on; sometimes there was only us and 1 other couple. People are put off by the drive up (narrow dirt track on edge of cliff) but after the first go, we got used to it. You then have 160 steps down and of course back up! You can alternatively get a boat from Charlottesville to drop you off.
Fantastic for snorkelling, saw so many fish, sometimes a shoal of literally hundreds of smaller fish - like snorkelling in a tropical fish tank. Nearly as many as scuba diving off Speyside :)
Sonson is the guy on the beach renting out beds and selling beer; great guy and very friendly.
And don’t forget the gorgeous, friendly, fussy, clean resident cats, that I wanted to bring home!!!

Find Son Son in the marina, or go ahead on the patch and the steps to the beach. BBQ, music, feeling! Be have like a local people.

We stayed at Blue Water Inn Speyside. Took a shuttle bus to Charlotteville and then walked approx 15 mins to the bay. Lots of steps but well worth it. Secluded bay with a little restaurant in the beach. We were able to swim. Recommended.

Después de haber leído tanto sobre este lugar ( qué pena, pues nunca suelo hacerlo) me quedé con la sensación de «...conozco cien sitios mucho más parecidos a lo leido» (sorry si parezco engreído)
El lugar es bonito, como dicen, retirado apenas 1km del lindo y peculiar Charlottville, ((pero checkeen ir de Buccoo a Bon Accord Lagoon en bote o caminando, q aunque le aseguren q No, se puede ir por dos accesos diferentes por tierra; o a little Bay de Castara)), tiene un acceso perfecto con camino en buen estado, comienza subiendo hasta un mirador muy lindo q merece la pena sentarse a contemplar su vista hacia los Roques e islotes...Después continúa unos metros hasta las escaleras q descienden a la playa, acceso perfecto para personas en buena estado de salud, bastante solitaria y con un puñado de cabañas, casas y negocio de venta de comida y bebida (poquita cosa pero auténtico). Con mar bella tiene lindas y transparentes aguas donde pueden snorkelear y contemplar la jungla sobre la Bahía. Merece la pena conocer a muchas personas de esta considerada 2a capital de Tobago, como la mayoría de la isla....bellísimas personas deseosas de ayudarte.
Cómo dicen, el acceso a esta Villa es Lindísimo, largo por tanta curva y desniveles pero tanto más atractivo por ello. Pudimos contemplar infinidad de aves y animales e incluso una serpiente constrictor de unos 4 metros, desde Castara hasta Charlotteville. Igual de interesante es la otra carretera q se dirige al sur por la parte este de la isla y desde la q contemplar la linda isla Little Tobago.
