Four of us went last Monday for an all day fishing trip with John. His main boat, HookieII was in for repair and he was using a boat of a former employee. The boat was fine and well equipped. Normally he would have had the boat full with gas and already have caught bait, but the place he normally filled up at was closed and he had to go to St. John to fill up and pick us up and then go catch bait. This delayed our trip by over an hour but even catching the bait and watching him throw a 12' cast bait perfectly was interesting.
We did not catch many fish but did have more than other boats returning that evening. We caught 4 blackfin tuna and a number of small grouper. We had plenty to eat for the rest of the week but had hoped for more especially larger fish. It was not for a lack of effort. John is an excellent boat captain and fishing guide. He really knows his stuff and tried hard all day to put us on fish but it just did not happen. We still had a great time and would definitely book with him again.

This was our second time out with Hookie ll. And for the second time we had a blast! Great captain, great fishing, great memories. Highly recommend!

We have Captain Brian a tough job, we had 2 people wanting to fish offshore and 2 who get sea sick. We loaded them up with Bonine and headed out. Brian made sure everyone was comfortable and having a good time. He did a great job finding the fish. We had a great time sand would go with Hookie II again.

Probably should have called to reschedule based on the weather. Captain was great but not being able to stand for 80% of the trip was disappointing. should have sought some in shore alternatives more conducive to catching fish. The point of the trip was to catch a few fish not battle the elements

Great trip - half day visit. Hooked into a sailfish within the first 90 minutes. Spent the rest of the trip bottom fishing. The captain put us right on the fish, had a great time, would highly recommend.

We took a 1/2 trip with Captain Brian and had a wonderful time. The 4 of us were a challenge with one who had never been fishing all the way to one experienced fishermen.
Brian made sure everyone caught fish. We caught plenty of grouper and yellow tails, but also caught two barracuda, a cero mackerel and a 5 foot shark.

Boat was a great platform to fish on. Brian worked hard to get us out to the edge and worked hard to try and put us on the fish. I ll be back to another trip for sure.

Captain Brian was excellent. Super nice guy and he put us on the fish both days both in land and off shore. Mahi. Shark. Yellow tail. And huge barracudas for some fishing fun.

Great experience! Opted for a 4 hour fishing tour which seemed like a long time but it was actually perfect. We even caught some fish for dinner that was thankfully cleaned and packaged by our captain. While fishing we were also able to enjoy seeing different views of St. Thomas and St. John while out on the water. Good option for families with teens too. Highly recommend.

Cost was 600.00 for 4 hours and that included everything. You can have up to 6 people total on the charter.
