Simple stop, quick in and out. Tours will stop and you might have to compete for the ability to get in. There are some little cute bats living in the cave. Watch your step and BRING HAND SANITIZER! Because there are bats, there is poop.

Amazing to see! Bats were flying all around us. We loved it so much! Wear good hiking shoes or tennis shoes with a good tread because it's rocky.

We rented a buggy from Bowcar to tour the island ourselves and stopped in at the caves. This cane is small, BUT my family and I enjoyed seeing the bats. Worth a stop in if you are touring the island.

This is a bit out of the way, and is just an okay stop. The beach itself is nice, and it doesn't take long to see them.

Tentamos visitar estas cavernas localizadas na West Bay St, mas só conseguimos tirar fotos do lado de fora de uma cadeira e das placas....
Havia um meliante, que entende que é o dono do lugar, que queria nosso dinheiro para contar "histórias"do local e quando eu disse que não estava interessado, ele disse que não poderíamos visitar o local.
É uma irresponsabilidade do governo de Bahamas permitir que isto aconteça... em qualquer lugar sério, um individuo deste seria preso, pois lá é um local público.
Tentamos voltar nos dias seguintes, mas o indivíduo continuava lá...
Inaceitável... espero que na minha próxima visita, este tipo de corrupto não esteja mais por lá.

We had heard about the caves and thought they would be fun to see. As mentioned in other reviews, the pictures posted are not even close to what these caves look like. They are grey, dark, full of bats, and have no water cascading over them.
Still, we enjoyed our quick stop to check it out and the beach across the road offers beautiful views.

It's worth giving a pit stop to. Warning: there are bats and cockroaches. When you go into the cave you can really imagine how pirates climbed in and used it to hide barrells and goods! I love a good historical landmark!

Unfortunately I was not suitably dressed to do much more than descending a few steps and seeing the hundreds of bats that inhabit the caves. Hopefully I will be better prepared next time. Was an awesome experience nonetheless

Hoewel het eruit ziet als fastfood kun je er nog van les aan toevoegen tot gebakken uien en champions. Zo maak je je hamburger nog lekkerder. Het is allemaal vrij goedkoop en de Ijs van Tom en jerry ligt ernaast. Je kunt er naast het aquarium zitten, ideaal als het regent.

The picture posted for Nassau is totally incorrect; this cave is on the island of East Grand Bahama, NOT on the island of New Providence Island where Nassau is located.
The cave in Nassau is dry, and boring, not much to see there. The same Lucayan people lived there, but it doesn't have any beauty or water near it. The picture is deceiving. This cave was a let down; we thought we were going to see the caves posted with this review which are on a totally different island/key that isn't even close to Nassau, New Providence. Trip Advisor, please update the photo so that more people are not disappointed. The photo I have posted is the correct cave picture.
