Lovely find when not much else was open. Was in the area and hadn't heard of the park before it enjoyed a lovely stroll here. Some improvement works are ongoing at the moment but this wasn't an issue for us. Will have to revisit one day when buildings are complete.

I absolutely love visiting the gnoll Estate. Due to having vertigo I have no option but to park at the top as I struggle to walk up hill. I would like to visit daily with my daughter but the parking charge on 2.80 is just impossible. Sometimes we only stay half an hour. Now I can't visit unless I'm going for a few hours as 2.80 for half an hour is reallt offputting. Shame they don't charge per hour. There should really be an option for 50p for 30 min etc. This charge is stopping people from visiting , please please neath council sort this out!!!!

We enjoyed walking round this lovely country park. It is a real asset to Neath. i would recommend it.

The park itself was OK apart the lack of maps of the ground so you can explore all.
The cafe was awful th menu advertises breakfast with no mention of times but stopped doing them by 11.30am. OK no bother. Looked at what was on offer the curry sauce and beans have the biggest dried skin on I have ever seen. The chips are replenished with whatever plastic tub they can find to transport chips. So unprofessional no hats no washing hands while preparing food in the kitchen. the food is chucked together into a box the server hasn't a clue about customer service then trying to serves several orders without finishing 1 without being asked for rest of order.
Overall very poor.
Health and safety loads of cardboard piled up in front of a fire exit just overall this area let's it all down.

Last year I visited the park 3 times, so I decided to share this great find with my friends. A group of us car shared and there was a large carpark (charges apply). We packed a picnic and outside toys (footballs, frisbees, bubble wands etc) and the children were overjoyed with the amount of green space, the streams, beautiful duck pond and of course the play ground. We spent the entire day exploring the Country Park and there was plenty of space to eat our picnic. We brought enough food to keep the children going all day. The park was very peaceful and absolutely beautiful with lots of people enjoying the great outside space. Before leaving we popped to the cafe for drinks. We would recommend the park for a cheap day out.

We had a lovely walk around the lake, path around the lake is good for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Lots of parking, but no pay and display machine close to disabled parking which isn’t ideal.

The park is beautiful but the cafe is dirty, has sticky floors and tables don't get cleared as there's not enough staff available. Bring a packed lunch before you visit.

Last year I visited Gnoll Park on 3 occasions. When we first visited there was an amazing fairground which my son thoroughly enjoyed. During the same visit we enjoyed a lovely picnic (didn't realise there was a cafe) and sometime in the playground.
On the 2nd visit we had a lovely walk around the huge pond and fed the ducks, before eating lunch at the cafe. The cafe was very clean with friendly staff. There was a good menu and the prices were average. We enjoyed sandwiches with a side of chips. After eating my son played with his ball and kite in the huge field.
During the latest visit I took my parents to Neath for the day, where they enjoyed shopping and exploring the wonderful indoor market. The market had lots of traditional stalls selling fruit and veg, clothes, gifts, fish and meat.
After shopping I took my parents to the park for a stroll around the pond and woodlands. We stopped at the cafe for a cup of coffee, before heading out for a meal.
On all occasions the park was very busy, but well maintained with no litter. There was a pay and display carpark and the charges were very reasonable

Lovely area to walk around- calming, peaceful, full of nature. Love the new outdoor seating area, overlooking the pond- such a tranquil area, and fab that they put see through enclosures. Parking is wrong, the Gnoll Estate (so I was taught in school) was gifted to the people of Neath, so to charge for parking (a loop hole) shouldn’t really be in place. Welsh Cakes were the best I’ve ever had. Crazy expensive in the cafe though. Though the tea was nice. Worth a visit

You are not allowed to have fires or barbecues there. However the junkies and whinos that camp there illegally in the summer months light fires. Pity they didnt chuck their litter on their fires instead of leaving it strewn around. The bin that is 5 yards away is too distant apparently
