Es un sitio paradisiaco donde el paisaje, la fauna y la tranquilidad se unen en una experiencia inolvidable. La entrada es gratuita y va por turnos de Máximo 400 visitantes en la mañana de 8:00 am a 12:00 pm o 1:00 a 5:00 pm. Debes llevar bebida y comida porque no hay venta de alimentos y afortunadamente tampoco hay señal de celular! Prepárate a relajarte y a tomar fotos maravillosas.
Por último, colabora siguiendo las instrucciones para la protección del ecosistema, así podremos disfrutar de este lugar por mucho tiempo.

Uno de los lugares cuya visita es obligada. A 20 minutos en auto desde La Paz, es una playa espectacular, una alberca enorme ideal para los que buscan un espacio relajado y muy difruable para niños. Nosotros entramos en el turno de las 13 hrs y hay que formarse desde una hora antes (es necesario fijarse dónde está la fila). Hay pocas palapas y tuvimos que compartir. Dejamos nuestras cosas y afortunadamente no sufrimos ningún robo. Muy recomendable

Balandra is the gorgeous series of white sandy beaches with black cobbles. The water was shallow and crystal clear filled with lots of fishes (large orphies, surgeons, parrots etc.). The constant erosion of the coastline lets appear some unusual shapes like the "Hongo".
Between Balandra & Tecolote, I walked for about 20min along the main road. I was surrounded on both sides with large rocky mountains filled with cactus. A cliché in TexMex westerns. I felt a sense of emptiness and silence. I can't imagine crossing this place on a longer trail. There were no shades, the spinifex rolling on the side of the road leaves you a dry mouth. I finally reached Tecolote.
Tecolote is quite different, the place forms a series of palapas in very bad shapes. The 2km long beach had some black sandy patches and was constantly shattered by upcoming waves. It was winter, you wouldn't except much activity in that season. On the edges of the palapas, this place looks like a dumpster where American retirees and vagabonds would keep popping up. I still enjoy some melting fish tacos from a local palapa, the waiter was kind. I actually fell like in Bill Bryson books venturing in some remote yet inadequate place. The bus returning to La Paz came as a salvation.

Hermoso lugar con vistas espectaculares. Nos sorprendió mucho el color del mar. Se encuentra a unos 20 minutos en auto desde La Paz.
Se debe llegar temprano ya que existe un máximo de personas que pueden entrar por horario (8 am y 12 pm).

I’m heading to Balandra tomm Mon (3/19). Any recommendations on a good arrival time since there’s now a limit of people allowed. I am going in the early am by car.

They have an AM allotment and a PM allotment and literally clear everyone out around noon, it is am amazing place to swim, bring some pesos to use the restrooms which are very makeshift huts. Morning you will be fine getting in. there are guards at a entrance gate but they do not charge for entry or parking.

At the end of September the beach was off limits due to a oil spill. Yes you would have to bring a lunch it would be a long boat ride.

hola , gusto en saludarte, no tome tour, lo que sucede es que rente un carro en AVIS para poderme desplazar de los cabos a la paz y poder visitar este maravilloso lugar, sé que si hay tours que te llevan de los cabos hacia la paz, pero preferí rentar carro para poder tener mayor libertad, espero que puedas conseguir alguno que te ayude,saludos y si vas visitar la playa Balandra te recomiendo mucho lleves chanclas acuaticas por que hay muchas rocas, y tenis para que puedas subir al mirador y poder apreciar esta maravilla, suerte

The beach only allows so many to enter per day .
If you try and go on weekend , it is crowded . I would advise to travel by boat only

Hola! Playa Balandra la hicimos por nuestra cuenta, lo cual te recomiendo. Llegamos en coche. Cuando yo fui tenían horarios para ingresar, de 8:00 a 12:00 y de 12:00 a 16:00. Si no puedes llegar en auto, me parece que hay autobuses que te llevan, creo que salen desde el malecón, pero igual puedes preguntar estando allá, te va a ser muy fácil. Espero que te ayude la info, o si te puedo ayudar en algo más, con gusto.

Del puerto de la paz a la central camionera de la paz que transporte público puedo tomar.
