The boat tour was cool around the bird islands. Stone Island is quiet and relaxing . We walked forever on the beach.

Went for the day on our cruise-best experience I've had in Mazatlán. Skip the excursions and experience where tourists and locals go to relax. El Valero was get for chair rentals, drinks and food. Don't pass up the ladies walking along the beach with trays of flan for $3. Easy to get there, turn left exiting the port, walk along the wall till the dirt road, pay $2 and get in the small boat to cross the channel and you're there.

No es una isla realmente. La comida regular, si quieren conocer vayan por su cuenta, no tomen paseos de los embarcaderos que solo te pasean 1 hora en donde mismo. Inviertan su tiempo en otra mejor en Mazatlán.

We took a harbor tour and ended at Stone Island from the cruise ship pier. Nothing much to see on the boat tour. Sandy beach was nice and wide but the ocean water was too cold to swim. we took a short horseback ride it was very nice. The snorkeling was canceled. The restaurant serves good lunch and the open-bar, margarita drink was good. You could take the water taxi boat very cheap to Stoney Island only $3.00 returns from the marina, It would be a good trip is the weather is warmer

A vízitaxival nem volt gond, sem oda, sem vissza. 40 peso az ára jelenleg (20-20).
A homok finom szemcsés, kényelmes feküdni és sétálni rajta. Szép a kilátás, a sziklák mögött óriási óceánjáró hajókat és teherszállítókat lehet látni. Szép képeket lehet készíteni.
A strandot inkább a helyiek használják. Szemeteskuka nincs, ezért az emberek szétdobálják a szemetet maguk után, ami nagyon bántó látvány. Néhány turistát láttam, akik elkezdték összeszedni mások szemetét, de ez egy véget nem érő program lehet ott.
Elképesztő mennyiségű gyalogos árus van a strandon és zenészek is. Pihenni emiatt lehetetlen. Mindent árulnak, amit csak lehet, minden szükségtelen dolgot, és ha nem kéred, akkor az árus elmegy, de néhány perc múlva visszajön, hátha meggondoltad magad.
Sok kutya van a strandon, de barátságosak. Sokan begurulnak autóval is a partra.

Very cheap boat to get over to the Island where you can relax on the beach. You can also have a meal on the beach or just a drink. I loved the opportunity to see an iguana up close and have it on my arm (for a photo). I also loved walking along the beach and there's a hill you can climb (with goats) for some great views.

Was a cool self excursion to the Island. We researched this place on YouTube, and got great ideas. Had lunch at Lety's which is an absolute pleasure. The food was incredible, drinks were amazing and the prices were more than acceptable. Service is a bit slow though but you're on Island time. Quads to rent on beach, we'll patrolled by authorities. Vendors are not a nuisance but they are there.

Tome un tour con el catamaran puesta de sol, el transporte es bueno , mas sin embargo no vale la pena la comida, ni la isla, demasiadas horas para estar en una playa que no vale la pena , si pueden evitar venir seria lo mejor no se pierden de nada bueno

I'm considering the Princess tour to Stone Island. Trip details free lunch buffet and open bar. Are drinks from the open bar included? Can you snorkel at this beach? And is equipment provided? Leaving for cruise in 1 week.

Don’t pay for a ship tour you can just go on your own. You can walk easily from the terminal to the panga boat. There is no snorkeling I wouldn’t think. Food is cheap, drinks are cheap.

Hi Carolyn. The waters are calm enough for paddle boarding but I didn’t see anyone doing so. It just might mean there was no place to rent such a thing. I have a friend who is staying in an RV park there for the winter. I’ll ask her and get back to you.

I would suggest you do it on your own and save some$. Round trip on boat is $2. All of the restaurants will offer you seats and umbrellas at either a minimum cost or free. Went to several restaurants and they were all good. You honestly can’t go wrong

I believe it was 35 pesos return. You pay only on the Mazatlán side. Keep your receipt to show for returning.

Stone Island is a beach so there are no specific hours but, of course, daytime would be best. The businesses on the peninsula/island beach open at approx 10 or 11 a.m. and generally close at night. Check on the ferry hours from mainland to Stone Island. It's a short 10 min ride from dock to dock.

There are some places along the beach you can rent. If you go on VRBO you may find them there. The only downside about
staying in this area is to get to the Golden Zone you will have to water taxi every time and then taxi or bus to get where your going. It just takes you a little longer to get somewhere and if you go out for the evening in Old Towne the water taxi doesn't run after 7:00 pm.

El Cid has Pronatours.
You can also take the fancy green bus 11 PESOS [52 cents] to the Ferry and take a water taxi across the marina/docks and you are there. Way cheaper. The tours just do one of the restaurants there and you only get one baby beer [less than a regular size] and then you have to pay for more libations. If this is helpful please mark as such.
