I went with my boyfriend and then a few days later a friend went to the spa last month. We also went in 2023. Loved our masseuse both times, as well as the young lovely guy at reception. FYI - We truly went for the spa experience - not the "extra" stuff that happens in other places.
Our problem were the big changes that happened this year compared to 2023. Changes we did not like!
1. They changed the staff outfits - which are now NOT sexy! It is always nice to have a pleasant view - that is GONE!
2. You now have to wear these uncomfortable little itchy shorts during the massage, as well as keep a towel on (again, we went for REAL massages, NOT hanky panky)
3. I am a little self-conscious about my weight so I like things to be private. For some insane reason, now the massage rooms have to have the curtains left wide open so you are on complete and total display to anyone walking down the hallways or in other massage beds. Totally unacceptable - this should be a private calming experience - not a "be on display" situation.
And a few other issues.
This time, it just felt more stuffy, more rigid and far less private and relaxing. We will not go back!!!! other friends recommend a men's only spa which they raved about. I am directing this to the owner/owners, NOT the great staff. Sometimes owners make changes WITHOUT thinking through how it will be received by the paying customer. All 3 of us felt this way, we will not be coming back next year, nor will we recommend it to anyone. So sad :(

It sounds like you had a disappointing experience with the recent changes at the spa. It's understandable to feel upset when a place you enjoyed undergoes changes that don't align with your expectations or preferences.
It's important to note that our spa was not created for a "sexy" look but for the overall experience. The focus has always been on providing a genuine, relaxing spa experience, not on appearances.
In the meantime, exploring other spas that prioritize privacy and comfort might be a good idea. Your friends' recommendation about a men's only spa might offer the atmosphere you're looking for. It's disappointing when a favorite spot changes in ways that diminish your enjoyment, but hopefully, you'll find a new place that meets your expectations. On other side some changes you mentioned were change since then.

Best new spa in PV! Relaxing and therapeutic. Highly recommend if you are looking for a nice treatment in the center of Zona Romantica.

My first time and definitely not the last. AMAZING and 5 STARS!!! Mauro, thank you. After that relaxing experience and almost walking into a few walls after getting up at the end, I slept like a baby. I can't say I've had a more pleasant experience in all of the massage therapists and professionalism than that or that can compare. When I am in town again, you can expect I will return. From the music to the aromatics and touch I felt as thou my body had opened up to a new me.

My last experience here was horrible. I felt like my therapist did not want to work on me and I regret booking. I had previously had a positive experience with Alex, but my 2nd experience was the opposite. The massage was the most unpleasant. I love deep tissue, but at points in the massage, too much pressure was being applied in all the wrong areas. I told Alex, but he did not adjust his pressure and it was painful in certain areas.

Hamam is outstanding. The facilities are so contemporary and comfortable. The service team is exceptional, leaving you floating under streams of water.

My 2 sisters and I visited the spa in February 2024 and it was a highlight of our trip! Danny, JC, and Alex were our masseuses and they were fabulous. First you change into a paper bikini (think surgical dressing), and don't worry, it will fit even if you're a little bigger. You go into a steam room and then get completely scrubbed down with warm water, foam, then cold water. You then enjoy a face mask while you enjoy a spot of tea, and then on to a full body massage. The gentleman were very professional and the facility was immaculate. 💯 recommend!

My sisters and I visited Puerto Vallarta and our nephew recommended that we go to Hamam. We signed up for a "thruple" experience (all 3 of us together) and it was such an awesome experience. Alex, JC, and Danny were all amazing and professional and gorgeous too! :D Our skin was so soft and radiant afterwards and we were so relaxed. It was one of the highlights of our trip. I will absolutely look for similar Turkish baths in other cities after this experience.

Excellent Hamam experience. Professional, attentive and excellent service. Very clean and amazing atmosphere transports you to Turkey. Even better than our hamam experience in Istanbul. Joshua and Ian were exceptional and we had a very relaxing 2 hour hamam ritual experience.

My second visit and it was equally inspiring. There is nothing quite like it. JC was godlike in his masseur superpowers. Treat yourself to this one of a kind luxury experience that is based on ancient Turkish culture blended with down to earth Mexican warmth.

Does HAMAM profiled people to decide who gets the service and who doesn’t?

Absolutely no. However due to Covid19 we allowed only one person or couple to have a service in the same time , so all spa is exclusive for you. Because of that we have to confirm manually every booking.
Since you did attempt in pick time Thanksgiving/Christmas was just bad luck. We did not know that you tired previously. I know that you are upset but trust me was not intentional. We are very sorry for that and we hope one day you will give us a try again. Also in situations like this sometimes is better just to call us instead reservation on-line.

As you will see ontheir website, you either schedule a 2 hour session or a 2.5 hour session. The session is more than just a massage. It is a body scrub and facial treatment, so the extra time is worth it.
