The board walk is sketchy. Nothing spectacular at all . People will try to sell you drugs and timeshare people won't leave you alone . Just keep walking

Absolutely beautiful!!!! A must visit! The boardwalk is along the beach and dotted with many sculptures, live entertainment and beautiful areas to stop and rest on the benches under the palms. The other side is places to stop for drinks, food, see artist at work. There are taxis at every corner and most everyone speaks English. I strolled the boardwalk for several hours. Senor Frogs is located on the boardwalk.

Very very nice way to spend a day on the water and take in the local culture. Our tour guide name was Vinh and he was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Not only learning some history from vinh, but got to experience snake wine, freshly made coconut candy,crocodile as well as elephant ear fish. It was an awesome day! Highly recommend it!

I took my wife to PV for our 15th wedding anniversary. We spent one full day walking down the Malecon and back and had so much fun. We saw amazing art, sculptures, sand art, flying musical men. It was a great experience.

Very nice and clean for family walking and taking pets for a walk. You have to be careful with the bike lane as everyone breaks into it

Yes the entire boardwalk is lined with shops and restaurants. At night there are some street vendors there as well.

I am not aware of any place. An idea- there are some reputable hotels in that area. Maybe you could leave with the bell service, for a small fee.

Seeing a lot of answers that evenings, especially Sunday, are great at malecon. We are staying 20 minutes north in Nuevo Vallarta. Are taxis and Uber safe outside city at night?

Me and my wife wintered in Bucerias MX. For 28 years. I was back.to visit the month of January, now a Permanent resident of Texas. We always used Decameron cabs from Bucerias, and felt safe. I will say things have really changed, and has become very busy. I would do your research, people have become more desperate after Covit. I would not travel teal late , 10pm or later, and would not use uber. Take care, and be safe.

We stayed at the Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen (adults only) last April & loved it. The only problem is all of the beaches on that coastline have a seaweed problem right now. We're heading to the Windham Altra in Nuevo Vallarta in May, can't wait!

There are dozens of them, look for the stamp, 925 or higher. In Mexico also, you get what you pay for, the high end shops are the most reputable but it doesn't come cheap there. But you will also find some really beautiful pieces there. Never buy from street vendors, you will get ripped-of for sure. We lived in Mexico for 5 years, we know and if you have the time, go to, for instance, San Sebastian, an old Spanish silver mining town. It’s only a little over an hour from PV. There you can go directly to the silversmiths, from the source. And it’s a beautiful small Mexican village, they don’t come much more authentic.
