After traipsing through a zillion silver jewelry stores in downtown Puerto Vallarta, we finally went to Cassandra Shaw Jewelry on Calle Basilio Badillo. Unlike us, you should start your search there. The silver and gemstones are real, beautiful and fairly priced. I picked up a magnificent show-stopper green amethyst silver ring and large silver hoop earrings for less than $350 U.S. My boyfriend bought his daughters beautiful silver heart-shaped earrings. Huge selection of rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings — many by local Mexican designers. We visited with the owner, Cassandra, and her sister, Candice. Candice helped us as we looked at jewelry for more than an hour. She sent out the ring I bought to be sized overnight! Basilio Badillo is the best street in PV for restaurants, art, jewelry and restaurants, so if nothing else, you should stroll down there and take a look.

The best, most interesting, unique jewelry store in Mexico! I have accumulated quite a collection myself. You will find that special piece of jewelry here from necklaces, rings, earrings, bracelets and more by Cassandra and her silver artists. She also does design custom pieces. Cassandra is also a painter, lots of her art is hung around her shop and upstairs. She can also paint your pet if you provide a picture and she will send it to you. I return here yearly, but I do wish she sold her jewelry online. This former Canadian has an interesting story as to how she came to live in Mexico, and her two chichi doggie companions are just adorable. Her staff is very nice, helpful and friendly. So ladies, send your partner down the street for a coffee, some food, or to the bar and take your time looking and shopping for that wonderful, one of a kind piece of jewelry that will 'sing out" to you to wear!

We love Cassandra Shaw's store and consider it a must stop every time we visit Puerto Vallarta. Her jewelry is one of a kind.

I am so happy with my purchase last time I was in PV. If you are looking for unique pieces that you won't see anywhere else, stop here! Will be back in a few weeks to add to my collection!

I have been buying very unique and 1 of a kind pieces from Cassandra Shaw for several years. It's a must to stop by at least a couple of times when in PVR. This time my husband bought me a couple of beautiful rings and I got a couple of pairs of earrings as well. Cassandra is so nice and her and her staff always take such great care of us. She also has a gallery upstairs with beautiful unique pieces done by Cassandra.

Although I have always purchased jewelry here during yearly vacation to Puerto Vallarta, this year was different. There were 2 saleswoman who were engaged
In their own conversation and didn’t have the decency to say “good afternoon,
can I help you with anything?” I was totally invisible to them. Their conversation
with each other must have been fascinating. After perusing the jewelry, I walked
out and they handed me a promotional post card as I approached the door. Why in the world would I want to promote rudeness. Cassandra Shaw’s salespeople could
definitely benefit from customer service. I will never walk into this shop again.

Hi Margo, I just read this review. First of all, I sincerely apologize for your experience in my store. This is a very rare occurrence. All of my employees are very friendly and helpful and really do love their job. I don't know what was going on that day for you to feel so neglected and I assure you this is not a normal experience. I get comments everyday about what a "feel good' and happy shopping experience people have had. Please try us again. Rarely do I come and not get something from here. I love the chunky jewelry. This year i bought a pink quartz ring that like all had an unusual design. Also lovely bracelets, necklaces and earrings.

Cassandra's store is filled with beautiful pieces. The staff is very helpful and friendly you can tell they love to work there. I stop by everytime i'm in Puerto Vallarta. If you're looking for a fun or funky piece of jewelry to remember your trip this is the place to go. I bought a very cool silver and labrodorite heart ring and just love it. Everytime I wear it I think of my wonderful trips to Puerto Vallarta. I will be back!

My wife has to stop in a few times every trip to pick up some 1 of a kind pieces of Jewelry. This time was no different. She got 4-5 pieces. Prices are good.

Hi Saskexplorer. Thank you for your review. Yes, I agree we specialize in big contemporary designs! Most of our pieces are one of a kind also but we do try to carry something for everyone and we have a huge selection. Many pieces are not on display but can be pulled out on request. Next time you are in town please stop by and ask for what you are looking for. We also do custom orders often and usually can get the work down within a couple of days. Thank you! Cassandra

We have rings from 30 dollars to 300 dollars. And bracelets from 50 to 700. The price is depending on the silver content, the stones and the work involved. Many of our pieces are one of a kind with beautiful natural stones, truly pieces of art!!
