It is a market that has everything: fruit and vegetable area, butcher, dairy, grains and products from South America. They sell good coffee and the restaurant area has many options.

You can find house wares, all kinds of meat, and a variety of tropical and non-tropical fruit here. Not all the tropical fruit is as tasty as you would like to imagine. Definitely worth a visit if you like fruit, or have a place to cook. Prices are reasonable Uber rides for visitors are cheap.

We were heading back to hang out at the roof deck of our friends, so we went by the Mercado to get some supplies. Olives, cheese, spices, almost anything you could need for cooking up a meal can be found here.
It's a cacophony of music, lights, smells and people yelling. Love it!

Of course, Mexico City's delightful Roma neighborhood has a market that's worth traveling far for. Mercado de Medellin quite simply has everything your heart desires in terms of fresh produce (meat, vegetables, etc.), grocery items, and, at the same time, a wide array of small, budget-friendly eateries offering genuine, local food.
We enjoyed strolling around and marveling at the mountains of beautifully butchered chicken before stumbling upon a tiny spot that served an excellent chicken soup for 30 pesos per portion.
On the way out, I found an old-school barber who, with an electric shaver, managed my sparse mane in just 10 minutes. Price: 150 pesos.
If you appreciate authentic local markets and happen to be near Roma, Mercado de Medellin is a must-see.

This is such a great market if you are a seafood lover. The ceviche, soups are super-delicious. Looks of South American stuff (think Colombian coffee) lots of fresh fruits veggies, meat. My favorite market from what I've tried in Mexico.

We had the “menu en la dia” at one of the restaurants inside. Awesome 3 course lunch, including unlimited watermelon juice was only $3.50 usd per person! Delicious and very filling. The fruit and vegetable booths were clean and great! We got some fruit and also trail mix. Loved this market.

Fun market in the Roma neighborhood. We first went there as a part of a food tour/cooking class. It felt very accessible - the vendors were very willing to answer our questions. We tried chapulines and a few other insects there. Worth a visit.

Este es un review para Marisqueria Antonio y Andrea. La pero sopa de mariscos del mundo! El dueño vendió dos sopas, una "Especial" y otra individual y las dos eran exactamente iguales. Dejé pasar el robo, pero lo que no se perdona es una sopa picosa, con puras almejas, sin camarones y sin cangrejo. La verdad es la peor sopa de mariscos que hemos probado. Por eso no tienen nada de gente y siempre esta vacío.
