What an amazing tour and tour guide! Clarissa was friendly, genuine and approachable. You can truly tell that she loves what she does! I would highly recommend this food tour to anyone who comes to Mexico City.

The tour was so much fun with many surprises! Carla was an excellent guide, super recommend the entire experience. Seeing the markets with a local is amazing

As food lovers who have done food tours around the world (best so far in Caoe town and Bangkok), we had high hopes for this one due to reviews and exorbitant cost. We were mightily disappointed.
Firstly, the value of the food provided was very small, portion sizes small also and we only sat down to eat in restaurants twice having only bite size snacks rather than meals. So we left hungry by the end.
The more serious complaint was the behaviour and attitude of the guide who was always on her personal phone texting and did not engage properly with us and did not jolly the tour along when one older lady took ages taking photos and lagged behind. She practically threw us off the tour aggressively when we explained our concerns. Not at all customer friendly.
Would not recommend as NOT value for money and they refund you money probably not to write bad reviews.

Hey
I rarely respond reviews but bad customers like you need to held accountable. You came during a mayor festivity as a seasoned traveler you must have known that everything was going to be crowded and messy, but we the travelers also know that that’s the charm or visiting a market for day of the dead.
Your guide gave you the option to leave with a full refund because you were acting up and not enjoying the tour. But you chose to stay and made everyone miserable: the other guests, the vendors and the guide.
Your guide had attitude because you were so bad that she ended up crying, and I think that says a lot about your behavior.
Yes she was on the phone, with me, because of you. Trying to figure how to deal with you and to rest of the guest who were trying their best to have a good time but couldn’t because you were rushing them and not allowing them to enjoy the amazing market.
And no, I didn’t refunded you because I feared your review I have an strict policy: When someone didn’t have the best day ever we refund their money, whether their complain or not. You didn’t even contact me but I knew what you did and how you behaved and that’s why I refunded no questions asked.
People like you who weponize reviews thinking it’s all on the supplier’s side need a reality check. The customer is not always right. Bad customers also exists and you are one of them. Bad customers get bad service and it’s not on us, is on you.
If you keep traveling be a better guest. ❤️

Lorenza was an incredible guide who was very considerate of our group and provided a fun evening! Our group experienced the best of local Mexican food and learned about the different neighborhoods of CDMX! The tour was wondering and you did not leave hungry :)

OMG these tours are amazing! I did both the market tour with Lorenza and she knew everything you need to have an amazing experience and bring you places you wouldn’t go by yourself. I also did the night tour with Panda and her energy is amazing. The food in this tour is insane! Gracias chicas for an unforgettable experience 🇲🇽❤️

Had an absolutely amazing time with this tour. We were guided by Lorenza and got to experience CDMX in a truly local way. We rode the subway (so clean and timely), we visited winding markets and a lovely flower market too, and we ate so so so much food. All of it was delicious, and stuff you wouldn't necessarily get to try on your own unless you were in the know. It's an incredibly fun experience, and Lorenza even gives you an google lists of the best restaurants and places to shop at the end. A highlight of our trip to Mexico

Four hours flew by! Clarissa was an excellent guide and we left full and happy. My husband won't stop talking about the basket tacos.

The Mexican Food 101 tour was so great we booked a second experience (Street Food at night) a few days later! Lorenza and Panda are both so knowledgeable, passionate and friendly and were a key role in making the experience so great for us! They explain how the food reflects the rich history and culture of Mexico. I especially loved how authentic the experience was - I doubt I would have tried any of the food I had on the tours on my own, especially insects! I also loved how they promote and support local businesses. I especially liked visiting different neighborhoods and markets via subway and buses as I would also probably not have done that on my own. If you’re thinking of doing a food tour in CDMX booking with Eat Like a Local is a MUST - highly recommended!!

This is my third time going on this walking food tour, any time I take somebody new with me to CDMX I take them on this tour. It offers a variety of food and drinks and takes you to a few different parts of the city. I also love what the business stands for in terms of connecting tourists with locals and the outreach program that benefits women/girls. Don’t miss out on this! Gina was our guide and she was a blast, so friendly and personable with lots of knowledge and passion for CDMX.

Hi, we have a group of 6 that includes two vegans, someone with Celiac (who must eat gluten free), and three without restrictions. Does the tour make sense for us, or will the vegans and person with Celiac be excluded to an extent that it does not make sense for them to come?

I got good food for celiacs. You will be ok, I had a girlf gluten feee with severe allergy, dairy free and peanut free and she was fine. :)

Hey!
Well depends, I had like 16 people that have done it. Both are completely different and I can give you smaller portions so you can eat everything.
I think that with both tours you'll get a great picture of the city. The night tour includes drop-off at condesa, Roma, or historic district, or other central areas.

Hey! We use the subway for the Mexican food 101 tour, I had once a baby with a stroller, and was sine but we will need to carry the stroller through the stairs I don't know I you would mind. For the Mexican wine tour we just walk and I always have babies (my dog sometimes comes if you want and is great for babies). You can bring as many people as you want I'll make the tour private for you.
