Can confirm it is still closed as of the 29/7/2022 following the 2017 earthquake. Unfortunately as the previous reviewer has already stated - large metal fencing obstruct a decent view of the exterior from ground level so there isn’t any reason to visit here anymore.

Es muy bonito pero le falta limpieza alrededor para llegar a el. Hay varios puestos de artesanías y varios lugareños ofreciéndolas.

With its white scrolls of vines and flowers covering its tan facade, this church is gorgeous without being ostentatious. Also, the craft market flanking it on three sides has the central Mercado de Artesanias y Dulces beat for both quality and prices. However, the interior of the church has been closed since 2017 due to that year's earthquake damage, and a corrugated metal fence blocks the view of the lower part of the exterior.

When we visited the church was closed pending repairs after the 2017 earthquake. The facade is fabulous! Baroque splendour and beauty. It'd be lovely to see inside. It is located within the market: stalls surround it.

La iglesia de Santo Domingo tiene una fachada de cantera rosa y amarilla, que esta trabajada de una manera unica, el trabajo en cada detalle es magistral y realmente esta catalogada como una de las mas bellas de America latina, su interior es mas bien austero, pero su bella fachada, es lo que la hace unica y fantastica.

Es una joya de la arquitectura barroca, además de que se ha hecho un trabajo de conservación bastante impecable. Puedes pasarte todo un día contemplando sus miles de detalles y no te cansas, además está rodeado de un mercado de artesanías enorme y precioso. Ve, no te lo pierdas, mejor piérdete en las calles alrededor o en los pasillos repletos de artesanías Chiapanecas y Guatemaltecas.
