A wide variety of souvenirs and crafts. Prices seemed fair.

If you're not an experienced Mexican, you don't bother going to this place. One hundred little shops full of the most common and expensive that there can be for tourists. We ate at a very rich Veracruzano restaurant everything but the menu we were given was priceless and in the end cost us almost 40 DOLLARS PER PERSON! This without alcoholic beverages. And they let vendors in so you can't even eat in peace. I do not recommend it to anyone, Mexican or foreign.

Many shops to buy souvenirs at a good price. But it's crazy, every employee in every store, going out to get us to buy. Trying to get you to shop in his store. But all very kind.

This was a totally fine option for buying souvenirs. You will see the same items throughout the market. I would definitely suggest buying what you want at this market. We saw the same things for sale at the airport for 10 to 15 times as much. Haggle if you feel comfortable. It seems to be expected. Safe and easy to get to by Uber.

We took an uber here from our hotel on the hotel zone, about a 10 - 15 minute drive.
There is also a bus available. It has a lot of stalls selling a large variety of souvenirs and such. The vendors were a bit pushy but accepting with a no thank you. It was a fun way to fill a few hours and we bought some beautiful Mexican potter and some t-shirts. You will probably need to bargain with them.

Intrusive sellers. We're in and right out. It's unbearable. They've really lost all shipments. Terrible!!!

We toured the market and it was cute, only unlike last year we saw far fewer tourists, in general, the businesses, for the most part, have the same products but only style souvenirs and typical costumes.

Soo Is good is cheap and theres cute suveneirs the only thing is that the “main shop” there going to tell you that the only shop to make you buy more, so if you walk ahead theres little shops that is more cheap.

We took the bus from the hotel zone to visit the market. It was very similar to what I’ve experienced at Mercado 23: lots of shops selling similar items. Prices were generally reasonable, but most of the items were low-quality souvenirs targeting tourists. Having visited Cancun frequently if over the past 20 years, I didn’t find anything tempting and left without making a purchase. This is a good place if you’re looking for reasonably priced souvenirs - much lower prices than in the hotel zone. But if you’re looking for higher quality artisan-made crafts, this isn’t where you will find them.

Worst place will lie and watch your bank when buying they will charge way more. Don't trust the any of they people with the you off big time don't buy any thing from there every. Will be contact all authority. Police and banks.

Mercado 28 is good, it is a nice place, and it has restaurants. You can buy plenty of souvenirs and there is a great variety. When staying in Cancun, another place to buy souvenirs is in one of the many spots in the Hotelzone. You pass them with the bus when travelling back and forth in the hotelzone.
Near Playa Tortuga and halfway the hotelzone are plenty of so-called flea markets with plenty of souvenir shops.
When you are staying in Playa del Carmen, you can buy souvenirs on 5th avenue. The large tourist shopping area. Flea market like shops are in most corners and all along the long shopping street, there are smaller shops with gifts and souvenirs.
You cannot miss them. Even in the streets around 5th, you will find souvenir shops.

Ich würde keine Extratour für den Besuch des Marktes buchen. Dieser ist mitten in der Stadt und kann per Auto, Taxi oder mit dem Bus sehr gut erreicht werden. Wir haben auf dem Markt gegessen. Es war sehr lecker.

Is there any paid parking lot or secure parking lot to leave the car? I'm planning to go with my family as soon as we arrive to cancun but we are afraid to leave all our luggage inside the Van and we can not go to the hotel first because is 2 hours away from the market 28. Do you know if there is a secure parking lot around the market?
