We booked this excursion through Expedia for a stop at Cozumel during our cruise. Transportation, communication, and logistics were great and seemed to run smoothly. The staff was friendly. However, this was an overcrowded nightmare. You make a stop to snorkel, everyone is herded off the boat and told to stay close to the flag. Snorkeling with 60-70 people was not ideal. The crew kept yelling
at everyone to stay near the flag. You couldn't even move without being kicked or whacked by someone, let alone enjoy the snorkeling. We had five experienced snorkelers in the group and one first timer. It was the least safe I have ever felt snorkeling because of the numbers. When we tried to give ourselves a little space, we were yelled at to get by the flag. The second snorkel stop we were in the water for maybe 7 minutes before we were told that it was time to get back on the boat.
The Playa Mia resort with the "international buffet" was even more crowded and definitely not as nice as it sounds in the advertising. Food was not good. We don't drink, so I can't speak to the quality of the free alcohol. The whole day felt like a big money grab. I would definitely not recommend. There has to be nicer places on Cozumel.

It is a place to spend the day in Cozumel! You can get from Playa del Carmen by ferry and you are there the day, you have meals and drinks included and all the facilities of the place!
There are activities for big and small!
Kids only swimming pools with games, the sea has some free activities to do at sea like inflatables, snorkeling and non-motorized activities!
You must pay for towels, umbrellas, motorized activities and ice cream and candy, plus diving lessons and so on!
The menu is basic but has good taste, dogs, fajitas, nachos and potatoes etc!
It is a good activity to do a while in Cozumel!

Family (wife, kids 6 and 4, and inlaws) had a great day here. Only complaint is the transfer to cruise left an hour earlier than it should have in my opinion.
We booked through a cruise excursion with food and drink included.
Ocean toys included slides, obstacle course, etc. also a really neat kids splash pad and pirate ship.
Lots of chairs, friendly and helpful service, good English skills, and the food wasn't bad. Fish, chicken and beef, rice, beans, salad, and some veggies. Also some pasta we didn't try.
It was very easy to get drinks. Stuck mostly to beer with a few mixed drinks thrown in. Water was readily accessible with plenty of ice. Would definitely return.

We generally had a fun day at this park. We have 2 kids, 3 and 6. The height limit on the bigger slide was 39 inches and my 3 year old was just at that height. BUT they wouldn't let him use a life vest nor let my husband catch him at the bottom. So he was sooo upset. I've never seen a water park where they don't let a kid wear a life vest.
My 3 year old enjoyed the beach but the sand was a bit rough. The floating obstacle course was also a bit too scary for both. The 3 year old loved the kiddie water park. The pools awere nice but the "hot tub" was not hot at all. We went in Dec and the pools were not heated so still a little cold.

Playa Mia is a great beach day, there is something for everyone.
Food is good & hot, drinks are heavy and steady and they have a great staff…what more could you want. I’ve done a lot of excursions in Cozumel but always choose Playa Mia.

After reading these reviews, I was a little bit concerned about taking my young daughter to this location. I was worried that the quality of the food would not be good and that the overall atmosphere would be too crowded. But I will say that we did take the chance and we went regardless my daughter was wanting to go to a beach so she could play with her sand toys Instead of staying in Port while we were cruising. I was happily surprised that the staff was so accommodating and so friendly to everybody that was there and the beach was clean and easily marked on where the water sports were and where the swimming section was. They do have a couple pools which we did enjoy those and a whirlpool which apparently was adults only but it was not marked. And next to that was a very extensive splash pad, which as a mom to a five-year-old was literally the best thing that I could’ve come upon. Next splash pad they do have like a little sitting area which has lockers in the same area, but it was perfect because I could sit in there out of the sun, watch my daughter and make sure everything was safe. Immediately upon sitting, I was approached by someone asking me if they could bring me something he was fantastic. His name was Goody. The lunch buffet was decent. It had a wide variety of things for people who have different taste and I did find that it was nice and warm as opposed to some of the reviews that said it was freezing. So the day that we had here was actually really fun and enjoyable. My daughter loved it and honestly, that is the best thing that I could’ve asked for I would go back in a heartbeat

I booked this excursion for my husband's birthday through Royal Caribbean. The beach is beautiful and the staff is very attentive. They have plenty of chairs and will bring umbrellas for you. Unfortunately the booking photos and details were very different from what was actually at the beach. The buffet food was not good and there was a very small selection. Also food is sitting outside with the wildlife and bugs.The transportation was terrible. We were in a school bus with very limited leg room for the majority of the adults. When we were about to leave for the beach we were told to be on the bus at 2:45 pm. When getting off the bus we asked the bus driver if what we had on our phone was the correct time and he told us yes. Once we were waiting for the bus at 2:30 pm, we were told the bus left and the actual time was 1:30 pm because of the time difference, which no one told us about, causing us to have to pay for a taxi back to the port.

We were at the designated meeting spot at 7:45am at the cruise port. We stood around for a long time waiting to go to our excursion. Finally arrived at 8:37am. Drinks were good and Samuel was an excellent host. We gathered up our stuff to head to the bus and arrived 5 minutes past the meeting time and the bus left all 12 of us behind. Yes we were 5 min late but we stood around forever at the port you would think they would have decency to wait for us. $60 taxi back to the port. Terrible customer service and food was cold. They tried to make up something about our wristbands and refused us on another bus. Book our excursion directly through Royal Caribbean.

Very disappointed in this attraction. We went to Playa Mia as an excursion on our cruise. We did the deluxe beach break which only included three mediocre activities, the open bar which had awful drinks, and the buffet which was cold, soggy, and almost inedible. The staff was not friendly and the shops you walk through to get to the beach had pushy and rude workers. The hot tub in the pool area was COLD and there was very limited seating in the pool area. The beach area was ok at best. Overall a very underwhelming experience. We went next door to the Mayan Cocoa Company and had a much better experience there.
