We were on this tour with Ricardo as a guide and rode with one other couple. We did the stops as described in the other reviews - the black coral artist's shop, the tequila factory - where they showed us how to make tortillas, chocolate, Mexican candy and tequila, a stop at some black coral to take some pictures, and for a delicious lunch. The rest of the time we rode around the island. Ricardo was really easy to get along with - we never felt rushed, but weren't lollygagging either. He had plenty of water for us to drink along the way - it was really warm riding.
In the black coral shop, we met the artist, and he briefly showed us how he made his jewelery. We bought a few pieces, which were definitely less expensive than we saw later in town. At the tequila shop, we were given samples of everything they showed us - tons of tequila to try. And lunch was delicious - fajitas on the beach.
The bikes were in great shape, and we had no trouble riding. Definitely wear long pants, but a t-shirt or tank top was perfect for the weather. It did start to rain as we headed back after lunch - a light coat would have been handy.
Bring a camera for sure, but if you don't have one, your guide will take a few shots which will be posted on FB for you to download.
It was a great day, and we saw most of the island. I would love to find other tours like this in other locations. The only thing that would have made it better for me would be to make the tour longer and stop at some historical or other interesting locations.
Would definitely do something like this again!
