Diese kleine Kirche befindet sich an einer Ecke von dem Santa Lucia Park. Im 16. Jahrhundert dürften nur dort schwarze Sklaven den Gottesdienst besuchen

Church of Santa Lucia stands on a corner some 3,4 blocks north from the central Plaza Grande. The Church is very simple in design, yet beautiful in its pastel red/pink color. It dates back to 16c being one of the oldest churches in Merida.
On its back side was a monastery which is now converted into a nice hotel where we stayed during our time in Merida (very good).
On the corner just across it is a same name park very popular with locals. There's a nice restaurant and huge Merida style lover's curved chairs for couples - great authentic Merida photo op.

ソカロのカテドラルから5分程度歩いたところに建つ教会です。
小さな公園が隣接していました。
訪問時は月曜日でした。
中を見てみたくて数回行ってみましたが、門は閉ざされてはいることはできませんでした。

Una visita obligada en Merida, Ligada a la Historia de Mérida desde el Siglo XVI: Antigua Ermita...y fue albergue de esclavos Africanos...y posteriormente fue la iglesia del Cementerio.. que se ubicaba donde hoy es santa lucia, y donde se celebran las serenatas los jueves. .Esta en funciones y se celebran misas y bodas.

I’ve been to the Santa Lucía Plaza many times and I finally saw the church open. They had some type of event going on, and the courtyard had a lot of people. It was nice to finally see it in the inside.

I walked out of the Italian restaurant across the street and a man was pulling the cord for the big bell on Top of the Church, to cll me to mass at 6pm. I walked right in and sat in the front where a priest that was about 4 ft tall and quite old...aid Mass and was super dedicated to our Lord and extremely passionate when he spoke about our Lord. I was so happy to spend some time in this beautiful little church

A 500 metros aproximadamente de la catedral de Merida se encuentra el barrio de Santa Lucía, llamado así por la iglesia que se encuentra ahí. Tiene lugares ideales para cenar con opciones deliciosas y placenteras. Además de diversas atracciones para visitar. Es un must para tus viajes a Merida

A nice church if you get the chance to check it out Last time we were there it was decorated with boughs of fresh jasmine. It smelled heavenly and we took in the service that was happening.
